One troll? Maybe. Two independent trolls? Not as likely.

On the other hand, 4chan exists.

Of more use would be the ratio of agree:disagree, tbh...

I'm sure a lot of it is adults, but there's also a feedback effect, even when it's just kids.

Remember when you were 12, how you always wanted to show you know you knew more than you actually did? now imagine you had access to academic journals talking about things way above your head and you've been hanging out with kids who like to pretend they're magical animals from the kingdom of the Sparkle Pixies or wherever, and you've got other kids bullshitting you from halfway across the globe, claimg their "dad" or "aunt" or whatever is an advanced research in zoonotic biology or something.

Either way, if you have kids, you should definitely know who they're talking to and what they're talking to them about, if for no other reason so you can counter the bullshit, because once stuff like this gets into your head, it's a bitch getting it out.

Case in point: I used to be a global warming true believer.

I... can't tell if this is a brilliant troll or an honest question...

hmmm... I think the top drain has a garden hose adapter on it. I wonder if I could put an rv water filter on it and fill it with charcoal, maybe save it for SHTF?

Honestly, I'll probably never do any of this, I just like to think is all, and part of me wants to think I could use the water to offset the light bill by making my water bill go down a bit (although admittedly not much)

remember when they got sued for collecting royalties on former player's likenesses? how did that one work out?

1
yeldarb1983 1 point ago +1 / -0

Nah, water comes out when I tip it slightly, and if I blow into the hose when it's hooked up, there's no resistance. I suspect what someone else said was right, that the upper pan fills first.

Still, it's fun to talk about = )

Easy, redefine racism as something idiotic, like "power + prejudice" than complain whites have all the power, because, near as I can tell, "power = numerical advantage?"

I dunno, the intellectual contortions of these people is a spectacle to behold.

Forgive me for being paranoid, but are we sure this Dong guy isn't a trojan horse? I can't think of a more perfect way to put an operative inside an enemy intelligence agency than to have him claim to be a defector, then demand he be turned back over, especially if he seems to have critical info.

Okay, but what part of the Constitution says it's possible? What's the legal process that gives you the ability to make it happen? Unless I missed something, the constitution says the president much be chosen by a specific date, and it's final at that point. If we take back the house and senate in 2022, we could vote to impeach biden and harris (assuming enough republicans in congress have spine to do so), and pray whatever speaker the pubs choose is worth a shit as president, but I don't see how you think you can unseat the president* once the cutoff date has passed.

I'm not trying to be a doomer here, I just don't see how you think you're going to make trump president by august. Even a revolution/coup (which, hi glowies, I don't endorse) would take longer than that

air comes out dry as a bone and hotter than satan's taint, and the instructions specifically mention that the tank will need to be drained periodically, or else a permanent hose will need to be hooked up

Small volume by upper connection must fill before it can flow to lower storage area.

That makes sense.

Avoiding the storage avoids having a damp container sitting there.

Pretty much my thoughts.

Btw, what do you think the efficacy of saving and using the water would be? Would I need to be worried about lead, etc?

2
yeldarb1983 2 points ago +2 / -0

That's what I would have expected, but why does nothing come out the bottom drain, even when the top drain flows more or less continuously?

btw, either way it's not a big deal, this is more of a puzzle than a problem for me =D

I've never been administered an IQ test but my understanding is that they do not have prerequisites.

Officially they don't, but the harder questions are based on doing certain types of math. Not crapping on IQ, btw, just acknowledging it's flaws.

Btw, you should take one sometime, for the hell of it if no other reason. If nothing else, it's good mental exercise.

Your theory neglects the fact that race, IQ and culture are inextricably connected.

Then why is white anglosphere culture, while superficially similar to, say, German culture, so fundamentally different at a deeper level? Why are Germans, while being every bit as loud and boisterous as Americans, so prone to creating authoritarian regimes, where as Americans thumb their noses at their own government as often as possible?

I'll acknowledge genetics play a role, but so do circumstance, climate, history, etc.

Blacks as a whole are not capable of creating or maintaining western civilization.

Western civilization was as influenced by black thinkers as it was anybody else.

The culture blacks create is based on their IQ and their genetics.

Even the slowest of students can flourish under the right teacher. Even the sharpest student can flounder under the wrong teacher.

You mentioned my 'theory' earlier. I'd say you're being generous, and I thank you for that =P, but my point is this: regardless of genetic predisposition to violence, intelligence, etc, low expectations will always give you the worst possible result, regardless of how much potential any given individual has, and higher expectations, higher standards will give you better results, more productive outcomes. For decades, Democrats have made excuses for every bad behavior in black communities, and what has been the outcome? These communities have floundered. You say Black Americans are inferior to the rest of us, and I don't agree with that, but even if you could convince me of that, what would your solution be? send them back to Africa? Good luck with that, they can vote, and most of them are perfectly happy to stay here. Chase them out by force? Even if you could muster a force large enough to do so while also holding off the U.S. military, the casualties would be enormous. Segregate them from the rest of us? Again, more misery than it'd be worth.

But if you demand they be held to the same standard as everyone else? You can actually get somewhere.

Are you familiar with the twins study performed in Minnesota? Researchers studied the outcomes of twins of different races where one baby was adopted by well off white families while the other was not. By the age of 18 both the adopted and non-adopted twins performed at basically the same level. In other words, they were limited by their genetics, not money, food, or bad schools.

Nearest I could find was a thomas bouchard study started in the 70s. Apparently the subjects were mostly middleclass and white, and there's some other criticisms having to do with the age at which the twins were separated.

Unrelated sidenote: how are you doing today?

Ah, so it's not like when a goldfish nibbles on you to figure out what you taste like, lol

Ah, so he's nibbling basically. Thought you were talking about something with actual teeth in him, lol.

Not to rain on anyone's parade, but isn't this a moot point? Pretty sure the Constitution says the president has to be chosen by a specific date, which we're well past.

Unless somebody can give me an example of where something like this has been done before in our past, I don't see how you overturn things at this point.

I tease, but I get it. = )

Mom avoided saltwater like a plague, and I've no desire to take care of living ornaments, but have you considered using an isolation box (not sure what the right word is) or a fish bowl while you clean the tank?

Not sure what type my grandmother used to raise, but they'd always 'sing' this little tune right after they laid, grandma even put words to it "look-look what IIII diid!"

Used to have a Siamese named Princess, notorious snake hunter, gave her to my grandmother, who lived on a farm at the time and is notoriously afraid of snakes.

Only problem is Princess would leave Grandma's share of the kill at the front door, so my grandmother would be afraid to go in until someone came out and dispose of the snakemeat.

I feel like there's a MAGA joke in here, but since I can't think of it anyway, I'll keep it to myself.
