Glad to hear it’s resolved! Don’t hesitate to reach out.

Ok. I’ll follow up in a few hours.

Hey there - I just checked for you and you’re absolutely right. We set up a community filter here, too, that says accounts have to be so many days old in order to post. We do this to avoid spam bots spamming crappy URLs everywhere etc. Several times a day, we check the filter and manually approve any post that isn’t a spam bot.

That’s what happened to you. Your account is now 4 days old. Are you still getting caught by the auto filter?

Until that can happen, I proposed an alternative - see my edit.

No, you have a new account and so I need to manually approve them. I approved all your stuff. I work a job and don’t want the place flooded with spam bots so I have a filter that catches new accounts and I check the filter every few hours and manually approve people that get caught by it.

There are a LOT of posts with very few comments involving the same few things.

The best way to get things attention is making sure they can be seen - and in this case it’s by condensing similar complaints into one thread.

Community filter caught this user’s posts. Wasn’t removed by TRS. Post locked.

I consider this issue resolved. I’m going to lock this thread.

To be fair, telling people to kill themselves is a toxic problem and I have given 2 day bans for that here at c/General for rule breaking “be respectful” - our users and the IP2 dudes included.

Uh, no. I simply facilitated your AirBnB for the last 36 hours.

I have no ideals with IP2. I am a mod in the default communities.

We didn't undo it but it was marked as NSFW.

Correction about the mod log stuff: I offered to be a neutral third party to observe mod logs should both the mods and the IP2 users determine that to be necessary to prevent another incident like this. I don't have access to them myself, but for example last night the mods were willing to share with me the unban list, which I stickied for transparency.

You don’t want to be here long term. You can’t post the stuff the people in your community want to post. It’s not the intent of the default communities. I simply cannot permit racial slurs and videos meant to gross people out here. The default communities have a different purpose. You will be frustrated by the moderation that would be required for this to be your home. It just isn’t meant to be.

I invite u/BoogerFukker u/FreeMaxB or u/Sonofman88 to answer any questions here about the specifics of each unbanning. Once they post it over at IP2, I’m locking this post and will link to theirs instead.

I don’t know why yours is getting caught by the filter. I’ve been manually approving yours when I see them being blocked.

I’m not evicting you. I just want a solution that best fits everyone involved. c/General isn’t it, long term at least.

penguindreams 2 points ago +2 / -0

That’s fine. I mostly feel bad about needing to overly moderate content that is meant for a curtailed community because my default communities have a different purpose.

It’s more like the intent of the default communities are different than the more specialized communities in the Win network. We have to moderate more heavily on certain things than you guys do because of the purpose of the default communities.
