Hold on, we’re not talking a wooden folding chair are we? No one is rich enough to be throwing lumber away right now.

Biden better watch his step on those steps.

I’ve been battling depression since I was 12. About to be 42. Happy to share info and resources if you DM me.

Most days are pretty decent now, using coping strategies. But some days everything can be going well in my life and I’m still in a doom cloud.

It’s mainly personal shit (and losing most my friends this year to Lefty Insanity ain’t helping), but ironically political stuff makes me want to stick around for the fight.

Find a small part of the Patriotic fight that you can tackle. Have a small personal goal to focus on. Success breeds success.

My 2 year plan is: adopt my dog, work out more and save enough money to move to a Red Zone where I can make new friends.

You’re ahead of 95% of the population. Find some like minded people so you’re not stuck defending against that alone.

I figured out the closet of the science room, with the boring ass science class, had another door. It was a shared closet with the computer room.

Full of Apple IIe’s, the ones with the green screens.

I snuck into that closet while the teacher wasn’t looking, and then slowly my friends would make their way through too.

We played Oregon Trail and some typing game that was basically Space Invaders for 40 min of a 45 class, then sneak back into class.

I may never be a leader again, but in 4th grade I crossed the Rubicon.

RIP Oregon Trail.

This describes prob 80-90% of people in my life. You lay out a case against it, not tricking, not leading, just explaining the counter to NSM - and they say “ok, makes sense”

Then they turn around and get the shots.

Don’t know if any of this will make sense, but related...

There is the educational/psychological concept of “learned helpless”. Don’t love that, because when it’s brought up it’s meant to sound permanent. Like the many paper bags that contain us, you can break through, but you have to try.

But I get what you are saying and really dig it. I am slowly breaking my appeal to authorities, even with little acts of “well I replaced that blinker relay... maybe I can replace an alternator next”

Great advice. Deer hunting is the obvious route, but I’m really obsessed w wild turkey. I live in the city but on weekend trips to the sticks in PA have seen turkey.

And yeah there are a lot of other activities or places, even close to Philly, where the activity itself weeds out a bunch of scared houseplant libs.

I will take virtuous over kind or “nice” any day.

Good call fren.

I was the kid who asked “why” about rules I thought were dumb in school.

When I taught I never was upset at a kid asking “why???”

Ha! Well at least I’ll have one fren beside me. 🐶

Well I’m literally down to one friend that will listen to anything in an open discussion. He even agrees election was stolen. Still got the shots. shrug

But shining light is his kids are his world and I said “check out blood clots and heart enlargement “ and he said he would. I did my uncle duty (and would forever feel horrible if I said nothing)

Can lead a friend to water... but you can’t make them think.

There’s a short clip of video I saw of Trump speaking to the military about dialing it back and becoming more non interventionist, and the brass looked pissed. No wonder he couldn’t count on them.

Thanks! I’m pretty into the symbolism on flags and their history.

But not to the degree of the art teacher at my old school; dude could tell you the meaning behind pretty much any nation’s flag.

Edit: it’s funny because he’s a lighter skinned black guy, but didn’t identify as black, and based as fuck in a lot of ways. He believed in Nationalism more than race, because he knew borders and national unity were actually what helps create unity.

Hi Fren. We are now friends. 🙂

I pretty much lost 3 friends of 18 years this weekend, because everyone lost their tolerance for a difference of opinion, so I know the feeling.

And it was not me who brought up politics or Covid either. They couldn’t accept that I will never get an mRNA jab. shrug

No the snake is sometimes a symbol of unity, as it can become a circle unbroken. That’s why they say “cut the head off the snake” because once you get the leaders, the rest (body will due)

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ouroboros

Also;

Join or Die flag wad1755

“The snake’s rattle has 13 segments, signifying the original 13 colonies, and the snake characterized the political climate of the colonies, which would not strike until provoked, hence the phrase, “Don’t tread on me.” Marines mustering in Philadelphia in 1775 began displaying drums painted with the rattlesnake design, prompting an anonymous “American Guesser,” (believed to have been Franklin) to write the Pennsylvania Journal regarding the power of the symbol.”

Yes Lucifer took the form of a snake, it doesn’t mean you should literally hate and kill cold blooded animals with no legs and fangs

I dunno if the two part consent issue is relevant if it’s in a public space with no reasonable expectation if privacy.

It’s more to protect people from recording phone calls or slipping a recording device into their pocket in a private setting.

Yeah, denial of female predators, or male rape just gives them more cover to hide in.

A teacher at my former school had random males students over for a “sleepover” and half the staff didn’t batt an eye. Read that again with the genders swapped and your sharpening your pitchfork.

You know that famous boxer quote right? “Everyone has a plan until someone bites your ear off...”
