Just thought this community looks too much like a reddit clone. There has to be some unique designs for features we could use. Not a big fan of reddit and I think we should be more original.

Famously - if you know your American history - before the civil war people referred to the United States in the plural form (The United States are) and after the war began using the singular (The United States is). I propose from now on to refer to the United States only in the past tense (The United States was). This is the place where the United States once was, but it definitely is no longer the United States and that will only become more apparent in time.
