It was good back in the '90s, the revival was almost entirely crap. Pretty much all the creatives and the two main actors are left wing zombies. They probably all hate that they helped to create distrust of the government. Everything woke really does turn to shit.
Way too much torture in the show. Just gets gross to be gross, which is incredibly lazy writing. Spader is awesome, but he's about the only person in the show who can act. The chick is super annoying, and the dude agent is a total bore. Plus the plots are just ridiculous. Suppose the human trafficking episode hit close to home, with the head of the charity being complicit, but there are simply more bad shows than good, and Spader is the only saving grace. Sadly not enough that it's worth sitting through that many seasons.
Lol, literally after you comment about acting skill, now it's only about how the show is presented. Whatever dude, the show sucks anyways. Have fun with your Spader boner.
Just finished watching the leviathan season. I liked the bit where Dick Roman was lambasting one of his lackeys and said something along the lines of, "you've got no talent, no spark. You're a Tim Tebow or Joe Biden".
But yeah, the leviathans sub-plot struck harder after the last two years.
There's an old British show called The Sandbaggers that worth watching, if you want something realistic. And the CIA's station chief in London had some interesting ideas about the Kennedy assassination, too.
I'm watching a new show on Netflix called the Recruit. I assume it's all made pretty much by leftist, but it makes the CIA and people in DC look like a bunch of assholes.
Yep- a remote-controlled plane on course for the WTC.
"Show us on the doll where the conspiracy theories hurt you..."

It felt like the classic 3 days of the condor
The Blacklist is pretty interesting.
I like it too, but the main actress is a terrible actress.
James Spader well and beyond makes up for that.
And you're right. She's awful. Really, really bad.

Yeah, except this thread isn't a critique on acting. It's about how the government is portrayed on TV.
And the themes that The Blacklist deals with fits into this category pretty well.

Yeah, that I went afield, too, wasn't lost on me.
Watch the movie Enemy of the State. That will scare the shit out of you.
I’ve been rewatching from the very beginning. Just finished one of the dna modification episodes. Interesting stuff.
I like supernatural. They gave fake ass names every time.
Check out the Leviathans ones. I was like, this is happening every day.

Not endorsing Netflix or Kevin spacy, but house of cards seemed to portray politics and DC swamp/ alphabet bois with scary accuracy
The British version they copied is actually much better.
Always like the monster episodes.

Better Off Ted did a good job of corporate satire, predicted the current state of big tech and clown world shit like lab-grown meat.
I never seen the X-Files , was it gay porn?
