Price fixing someone else's product leads to immediate failures to transact.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 11 ▼
– catvideos3 11 points 116 days ago +11 / -0

It goes a bit further than that. Producers will decline to produce at prices below market rate, which causes shortages not only of the commodity being produced, but also the labor to produce it. The buying countries will see a lack of the commodity, but also all of the downstream labor to refine the petroleum.

▲ 18 ▼
– PrincipledPsychopath 18 points 116 days ago +18 / -0

That's true in general but not in this specific scenario, because Russia is still going to sell all of its product- just not to the EU states who are being dumb.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 15 ▼
– MapleBaconWaffles 15 points 116 days ago +16 / -1

And then, since the price cap is only on Russian oil, those other countries can sell it to Europe at a markup.

Russia is doing fine. Having too much of something can be a problem but it's a better problem than having too little, especially when it comes to energy.

Truly this is stupid by the EU because it will just push Russia to concentrate on further economically allying with China and India etc, and new pipelines and other ways to transport oil can be built pretty quickly when you don't have to worry about environmentalists etc.

I am sure those plans are underway already.

– PM_ME_UR_VIVOZ 2 points 115 days ago +2 / -0

There is no reality where Russia is beholden to the EU. The reverse is both the visible and obvious reality. They’re price capping because they want to destroy Europe to make way for whatever tyranny they have planned to come next, not because they think they can stick it to Putin or whatever.

Russia already has pipelines to China. They’ll just make more, and China has the means to retrieve the oil in the mean time. Open your eyes bud - you’re being lied to, and the enemy is way past the gates. They’re in the palace.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ -2 ▼
– zigZag590 -2 points 115 days ago +1 / -3

The pipeline that goes to China is not connected to the oil and gas field that goes to Europe. Russia is 100% beholden to Europe. The distance they need to cover is 10,000km. Lol no dude.. you are living in clown world because of your ignorance. Russia is fucked. Just do basic research. China doesn’t have the skills to get the oil out that’s in Russia. That’s why Russia partnered only with western companies. Listen, there is nothing good about ignorance. Do more research about this topic. Research oil tankers…. Research Russian oil and gas fields. Research shipping insurance.. if you researched these things… you would realize how ignorant you are. You are the one being lied to.

Unless you represent 50% of the customer base and the other 50% would prefer to do business with you than buy that person's product AND that person's infrastructure is built with you as the customer base in mind AND you provide like 90% of the insurance needed in the industry.

I disagree, because it creates centralization. Which in turn makes it easier for WEF and the new world order to take over. When each continent is a union there's only a few entities WEF needs to takeover, much easier than 200+ different countries. Or even better, tens of thousands of counties or municipalities.

Think about why something cannot be produced locally, but has to be produced in a mega factory in China only and nowhere else. What's so special about that product? Most things we need can be produced locally anyway, and for imports why don't we just ship "as is", if the product is shit then we'll make our own alternative locally which is better, just like the free market economy was supposed to work.

Even better is that it's nearly impossible for globalist corporations to outcompete local small businesses due to the clusterfuck of administration they would have to deal with when establishing allover the world. The world would be more conservative, free and a better place for everyone, as every town would mind their own business and don't fuck other's over all the time.

Yeah your government should always be local. If it's not you are going to get screwed eventually because their interests do not align with yours. You absolutely cannot trust ultimate power to people 3000 miles away from you and think it will be fine.

There is no way to ever change that, that I can think of. The founding fathers tried with giving states more power, but we can see how easily that has been corrupted in the past 100 years.

I think the future will just have a lot of smaller countries and loose alliances.

This is something Ive been saying for a long time. Federal Government should not impact your routine, daily life. State government minimally. County and town ordinances should really be all the average Joe is concerned about.

Dealing with some corruption at the local level now. Jaw dropping how out in the open it is, moving is the only realistic option. Generations of people used to benefiting from corruption can't be dislodged. Towns are poor due to corruption, not lack of economic opportunities.

Eh, you could raze the united states and rebuild it with a new constitution and it would sign in a federal government system with a "federal" (privately owned) reserve into law in less than 120 years. I feel like corruption is just inevitable, and with corruption comes a government that endlessly expands.

A massive reason why that happens is we just write laws that simply explain the rules, far down the line people intentionally or unintentionally misinterpreted the intent of those rules. The solution to this is to have a why and how section accompany each law so it is not so easily misconstrued once all the men who wrote it are dead.

It means it has to be laundered through a Chinese oil bourse run by "the freaking spy chief of China", with 10% for the big guy, lol.

( I realize that it was a nat gas bourse, and it was a no-go from the moment the laptop was found, and the not-really-a-spy-chief dude fell out of favor with the party, but they were planning on this. They knew that Russian nat gas was going to need to be laundered. They were accessories before the fact with this great reset project. I also feel that Putin must also be an actor in this. Too much is left to chance if he is not and he was a WEF YGL in 1993, before he came to power. )

All you need to know is that the price cap doesn't change the supply and demand within the market. There will still be the same number of buyers and sellers which means all the countries who implement the price cap are just reducing the countries from which they can buy. The real power is held by the sellers, since they can just reduce the supply. Infact, it's probably what OPEC will do and announce a drop in production.

Because Putin doesn’t want Ukraine, he is doing what he always said he’s doing: liberating parts of Ukraine that are majority Russian and have been subject to Ukrainian genocide? It’s very interesting to be on the bad side of things. Think about it: pre-WW2 Weimar Republic was devolving into sexual degeneracy, cross dressing / trans, anti family, socialist Marxism. Hitler comes to power to fight against the source of all of it (powerful Jews owning businesses and influential parts of things? This part I’m not sure of the history), albeit he does it by mass extermination which is obviously not the good thing to do, and forces us to team up with the Communist Soviet Union. Now, post-Communist Russia sees history repeating itself and the West falling into the same degeneracy and wants to stop the spread into their country. They do this by pushing back against the cross-dressing Zelenskyy (and ultimately the West which is now devoid of morality because Marxism has seeped into it’s foundation). I am open to being completely wrong here, so I would appreciate it if someone could correct me if I am.

It's more complex than that.

Russia COULD roll over them if it went ground pound, civilian causality is only a statistic but it seems they initially went in wanting to gain the most ground without destroying the infrastructure and chose not to use their elite more regular soldier.

Ukraine kept getting more supplies of the latest Western tech that narrowed the gap between armies. But now, hard to tell, Ukraine have not just gaslit Russia a lot with obvious false flags to try to pull NATO in fully, but the atrocities they commit against Russian troops and ethnic Russian people, there is a growing resentment in Russia of 'fuck em' and with winter here, it would be devastating to ensure all major infrastructure was offline during the freeze.

Is this the latest copium update from IntelSlava for the biorobot Russians to download and repeat?

The US defeated Iraq in like one evening using only 10% of its military. Russia had months before Western aid arrived and they failed catastrophically, including significant losses around Kiev that they later lied about and pretended was a 'diversion'.

▲ 2 ▼

At the moment they're grinding the Ukrainian military down. Even the EU 'accidentally' admitted Ukraine has suffered 100K killed in action, which means probably 3x that number of wounded. Western weapon stockpiles are already depleted in many nations and the rest of them can't keep supplying Ukraine forever (despite what claims pro-Ukrainian politicians might make).

Ukraine has virtually no arms industry of its own left now and is burning through it's heavy weapons and vehicles extremely quickly with daily suicidal 'counter-offensives' which get stopped immediately 99% of the time. Look up the Battle of Bukhmut' as a prime example of how badly the Ukrainian military is getting mauled.

In contrast, the Russian military, it's PMC's and separatist militias have likely suffered only a fraction of Ukraine's loses, probably roughly 14-15K combined according to most realistic estimates. This is because they've been mostly on defence for the past 3 or 4 months and because they have a massive advantage in artillery and airpower. Nor do Russian generals try to hold onto objectives at all costs, like Ukraine does e.g. Mariupol, Severodonetsk/Lysychansk and Bukhmut (ongoing) to name a few large examples.

Russia has zero advantage in airpower. They're absolutely terrified to lose them because they can't replace them. Your aircraft don't matter when you're not using them for anything.

Dude they're literally fighting Ukrainians in trenches. You know what you do with a trench? You drop a cluster bomb on it. Where's the cluster bombing? Nowhere - because Russia can't fly their aircraft. All they're doing with their aircraft are literally lobbing 57mm rockets miles away and hoping they land on something.

You have a lot of people who have stupidly taken the position of "I don't like Ukraine, therefore Russia is my BFF" and will swallow any amount of slavic cum around here, but realistically the Russian military actually really wasn't all-that. It's simply old, obsolete, and Russia never had the money to maintain it. I imagine a shitload of corruption and theft was happening giving the Kremlin a false idea of the status of forces.

There's a lot of shit you can see on even pro-Russia telegram channels that indicates that they don't got this. Consider this: in the first hour of the 2003 Iraq War, the US completely defeated their entire country. Precision strikes across the nation utterly destroyed all their reserve ammo, fuel, and equipment. It wiped out all their C3 centers. It flattened their decision-making centers. Iraq had one of the strongest militaries in the world and they were utterly defeated.

It's been 10 months and Russia is still struggling to even hold the 20% of the country they took. They've never made any meaningful progress in the eastern theater, what they did take, they surrendered and ran from. They've never had control of the skies, and are clearly afraid of losing aircraft to AD systems, because their aircraft barely fly beyond their lines before firing a bunch of unguided rockets that hit nothing and running.

Russia's been having a bitch of a time fighting entrenched Ukrainians because Russia has almost no advanced weapons. They are using impact-fused artillery against trenches, like it's WW1. It's comical how quaint their tactics and equipment are. Russia has no ISR capabilities, like, none, because they never bothered to invest in a drone program. For real, they didn't have a single drone, they're using DJI Phantoms and moped-powered drones from Iran. The T-80 and T-90 are just T-62s with upgrades, it's still an old, flawed, deathtrap of a design.

Watch enough Telegram channels and you'll quickly realize that Russia simply has a massive shortage of modern gear. For example, you can see night vision devices on half the pictures of any American in Afghanistan or Iraq. Russia has so few of these you almost never see them and they only get used for exotic ops. They're struggling to land more than a few actual guided missiles a month, suggesting that they don't have them in reserve and they're firing them as they slowly roll off the production line.

All the Russian faggots on here will throw a fit and claim that this is all lies, Russia is stronk and winning, but the maps don't lie. Facts don't care about fragile Russian feelings. Russia suffered a string of devastating losses at the hands of Ukraine and we can all see it. The lost thousands of lives trying to take Izum, Kherson, and Kharkiv, and they ran from all three of those.

The massive dump of military technology led to an immediate improvement in performance by Ukraine, because technology matters. It matters a LOT.

Ukraine has a Javelin missile... Russia is literally still using the RPG-7. Bro that's like African warlord technology. That's embarrassing. I'd be fucking embarrassed to be seen with one of those million year old adorable toys. The military is literally equipped with the same gear child soldiers in the Congo have. That's fucking HUMILIATING.

It's fine to laugh and support Russia "in spirit" of hoping Ukraine falls just to embarrass the retards who worship Ukraine and hopefully to kill Zelensky. But anybody who thinks Russia is our ally, now, in the past, or in the future, and that we should be simping for them, is retarded. Ukraine and Russia are both cut from the same cloth of corrupt self-interested world leaders who don't care about you, and both nations destroying each other is fine by me. Russia hates the United States and wants us destroyed, they aren't your friend.

Wow, and lot of wrong claims here... But I'll stick with these ones.

They never tried to take Lvlv (it's in the far-west of the country) and Kherson was taken and later abandoned without a fight.

The RPG-7 is a much better weapon in urban combat than the Javelin, which is practically useless in such environments. Russia also has many modern ATGM's capable of destroying any armour, which it also uses frequently in Ukraine.

Iraq didn't have the entire western world constantly replenishing it's weapon stocks and giving it 100's of billions of dollars. Nor did it have a very modern air-defence system, whereas Ukraine inherited a fairly modern one from the Soviets. And I'll remind you that the US lost 75 aircraft in the first Gulf war, which is more than Russia has lost during 10 months in Ukraine (unless one believes the super-exaggerated claims by the Ukrainian MoD).

sniff sniff, anyone else smell Borscht, or is that Putin's dick?

lOtS oF wRoNg ClAiMs

Whatever. I meant Izum. Who cares, they still lost fully half of everything they took. Not even going into how they tried and failed to take Zaphrozie for six months.

and Kherson was taken and later abandoned without a fight.

That's what happens when you run away with a river of urine following you. Kherson was critical to supplying operations north of the Dnieper. They ran because they're shit. A winning army doesn't give up a fucking city center. An army of losers and failures, however, does.

Oh never mind I remember that in the Art of War: "When you have a strong advantage, give it up to your enemy, and then lie about why you did it on Telegram."

The RPG-7 is a much better weapon in urban combat than the Javelin

Well good thing most of the operations aren't taking place in urban centers but instead in open areas where the Javelin excels. You can't bring your armor into a city when your armor can't get close to the city.

Russia also has many modern ATGM's capable of destroying any armour, which it also uses frequently in Ukraine

No they don't. The Javelin is a generational leap over the entire CONCEPT of an ATGM. ATGMs are annoying. An ATGM team is literally three men because they have to build the system in the field. Minimum is two men but that means you only get to fire once. They're big, heavy, bulky systems with big, heavy, bulky missiles.

The Javelin took the ATGM and shrank it down into something literally one man can carry, can fire on the move, and requires very minimal exposure for the firer. This is beyond anything Russia is capable of producing or purchasing. Otherwise they'd have done it. They didn't. Russia is, like everything else, decades behind on this concept.

Iraq didn't have the entire western world constantly replenishing it's weapon stocks and giving it 100's of billions of dollars

Neither did Ukraine for a couple of months. More than enough time for a "totally legit" military like Russia to crush them. And what happened? A total failure, they were jammed up in every theater, and they barely slowly crawled towards objectives. They lied and pretended their failed Kiev attack was a 'diversion'.

lol my favorite part about 'diversions' is how you sacrifice an entire VDV regiment to carry it out.

And I'll remind you that the US lost 75 aircraft in the first Gulf war, which is more than Russia has lost during 10 months in Ukraine (unless one believes the super-exaggerated claims by the Ukrainian MoD).

This is a lie. The US only lost 43. Don't call someone a liar and then lie yourself. 75 aircraft were lost across the entire coalition. Also, who cares? Aircraft are disposable to the US. To Russia they're a fucking arcane asset they can't afford to lose. And the US flattened Iraq in less than a month as the trade. What has Russia got for their losses?

Russia loses more armor in a week than the US lost the entire first Gulf War and they lose the entire crew when that happens. Russia is not using their aircraft because they're literally afraid, since they can't replace any losses. F-16s are like fuckin' HMMWVs to the USAF.

Remember the Su-57? Where's that? Ah right, they can barely afford to produce more than eight per year, while eight F-35s roll off the production line literally every two weeks.

Russia's military is a top to bottom embarrassment. No drones.

Dude.

No fucking drones. They had NOTHING.

aMeRiCa Is ThE bEsT aT eVeRyThInG

mUh GeNeRaTiOnAl LeAp

...No. You're just high on patriotic bullshit dude.

"sacrifice an entire VDV regiment" - What? Let me guess, you actually believe that horseshit the Ukrainians claimed about defeating the VDV at Hostomel, despite the fact the VDV held the air base for a day by themselves so motorized units could rush in and secure it from Belarus.

'No airpower' 'No drones'... Yeah that alone tells me you know absolutely nothing. I've literally seen hundreds of videos of Russian Kub, Lancet & Geran drones taking out AFU vehicles, artillery and radars in last few months alone, but yeah... I guess you didn't see them so it didn't happen right? It's the same with Russian airpower, just ask the average AFU conscript getting bombed by them how much the 'Russian airforce can't do anything'. There's plenty of videos of them admitting how much it devastates them.

BTW, how's that KD ratio going. 100K AFU KIA, but yeah... they're definitely winning...

Well of course. Russia hasn't put their country into trillions of dollars of debt to enforce the global new world order like our leaders have done. And even then we ran out of Afghanistan with our tail between our legs. And Iraq does not have democracy like they promised. Neither does Ukraine. The US State Dept made sure of that. Then they lied and said Ukraine was a fight for freedom. Just like Iraq and Afghanistan. And the NATO gimps can't get enough of that Globohomo cock. They love it so much that they would sell(and have sold) their grandchildren down the river to continue funding their globalist dreams.

If it weren't for nukes the fucking EU quite obviously could have just rolled into Russia and taken it over.

Russia hasn't put their country into trillions of dollars of debt to enforce the global new world order like our leaders have done

No Russia just put themselves in debt by having decades of such intense corruption that literally everything was stolen by everybody who had any kind of power. The difference is the US actually got something out of the deal. Russia didn't.

I think its more the fact that politics have gotten so divisive that people latch onto the exact opposite idea of their political opposition. Both sides are gobbling up Slavic cum lol because Ukrainians are slav too.

There's a lot of propaganda coming out of both sides, and people just latch onto a perceived truth or a lie. It's impossible to know what is actually going on. The objective reality is this: no one will know much of anything until the dust settles and the conflict is actually over.

Yes he will, Russia is pretty much tied with Saudi Arabia as the largest crude exporter in the world. If Russia stops selling oil for a couple weeks and 12% of the worlds supply disappears overnight price of a barrel of oil will skyrocket.

If OPEC+ sides with Russia because they don't like price controls on their product and they collectively reduce their outputs like they have in the not too distant past... Everyone pays far more for crude.
