One day, they had a teen mom and her own mother (who gave birth to her when she too was still a teen) discussing how welfare payments for teen/single mothers had only increased $50 in the 15 years since the teen mom was born to her own teen mom. I had just recently gotten my first pay check from a new and much better paying job than I had ever had before and I had noticed how much I was suddenly paying in taxes. That was the day I put 2 and 2 together and became a conservative. Well, I'd probably always been a conservative as my blue collar democrat parents raised me with strong work ethic and basically conservative values. That one smooth brained NPR program nudged me right over the edge and into reality. So, thank you, NPR! Now let's defund them. I'm paying a lot more in taxes now than I was back then.
