But last year there was no seasonal flu? (www.dailymail.co.uk)
posted 114 days ago by racer513 114 days ago by racer513 +1738 / -0
6MILLION Americans have been infected by flu this season, CDC says
America has faced 6million flu cases, 53,000 hospitalizations and nearly 3,000 deaths since October, official estimates suggest. For comparison, Covid is behind 2.2million cases and 14,000 deaths.

This is all about pushing Pfizer's flu+COVID Vax. They'll eventually merge the two and no longer offer a discrete flu Vax so that you'll have to get a COVID booster if you want the flu Vax. My doctor tried this with me a few weeks ago. Stay vigilant Pedes!

That's fine. I've rarely actually bothered with a flu vaxx either. Even on the rare occasions I've caught flu without one, it's nothing I haven't gotten over in a couple days.

In that case you've never had the flu. Generally takes about a week for the symptoms to start decreasing and practically everyone who's had it feels like shit for most of that week. It can also take up to several weeks to get over the tiredness that flu causes.

What you've had are colds if you're over it in a couple of days. Flu is nothing like a cold.

Flu A is VERY mild in adults but more aggressive in children and is transmissable to animals, where as flu B is more aggressive in adults not children, but is not transmissable to animals. The idea of a flu vaccine is to give antibodies for the most likely strain that season. That being said, immune systems vary some folks(myself included) have a VERY active immune system and have very quick recovery times when I have contracted both Covid and the flu. Some folks not so much. Everyone should know everything they can about ANYTHING being injected into their bodies, as well as their bodies capabilities to fight off the illness.

▲ 1 ▼
– BillGall2 1 point 114 days ago +1 / -0

To be a bit more scientific, "the idea of a flu vaccine is to give antibodies..." is not accurate.Rather, the idea of a flu vaccine is to stimulate our immune system to develop antibodies against various strains of flu viruses. Antibodies are not contained in the vaccine. Our body develops them.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 1 ▼
– TrumpsPersonalCuck 1 point 114 days ago +1 / -0

That is correct, the vaccine does not contain any antibodies, I was speaking rather colloquially about the immune response stimulating antibody production. Thanks for the specifying it definitely help those who aren't aware.

You're getting downvotes for the truth. I've never met anyone that has gotten over the actual flu in a couple of days without taking Tamiflu. Flu sucks for kids, adults, and elderly. Last time I had the flu it took me about 4 weeks before I felt fully back to normal.

People call a lot of things "the flu" when they're actually just colds/RSV.

I had the flu really badly in high school, was sick for a month then I assume I had post viral issues because it took a long time for me to feel better, like a year or more. But I’ve never gotten a flu shot before or after. And as an anti vaxxer for all vaxxes I never will. Never had the flu since, but I have plenty of ivermectin in case. No interest in big Pharma’s death jabs.

So MRNA is here to stay.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 5 ▼
– least_counties_ever 5 points 114 days ago +5 / -0

Exactly. They couldn't roll out mRNA as a flu vaccine, so they gave the flu a fancy name (Covid) and scared everyone into trying an mRNA vaccine. Flu is a coronavirus. Covid is a coronovirus. Covid is a type of flu. All flus mutate from year to year. In fact, we're still living with mutations of the Spanish flu of 1918, because that vaccine didn't work either. Covid will eventually become indistinguishable from any other flu that comes around ever year.

▲ 1 ▼

The flu is not a corona virus. They come from completely different viral families.

And yet, they've admitted the test, as distributed, can't distinguish between influenza and COVID-19, even though it's supposed to be testing for DNA. It's almost as though the whole thing is a really unconvincing farce.

That was the real point of all of this.

It's part of the transhuman movement. Probably also why they are getting people comfortable with transgenderism and all the fagged out surgeries associated with it.

Even Musk is big into MRNA technologies as he thinks they will be necessary for us to merge with machines, which is something the dude has on his short list of things to accomplish.

We got to see live how they program society and prepare them for the next phase of where they are taking us.

Flu shots are always going to be hit and miss. They look at the flus that were going around in Australia (And other places, during our summer) and immunize for those. If they are wrong, or even mostly right and you happen to get unlucky with what you came into contact with you may as well have not been vaccinated.

I've never had a flu shot, doesn't make sense for most people.

Funny thing. This time last year, I sat in a meeting w/ my direct boss, a co worker, and our company owner. Somehow Covid came up and the flu. One remarked that "one good thing about covid was it stopped the spread of the flu since people were taking covid precautions". I said.."then why is covid not going away". The answer? "People aren't doing what they need to do...social distance, hygiene, masking".

My head about exploded. I asked how can one be true and not the other? Answer: They are spread differently. Which is not exactly true.

The cognitive dissonance was so powerful, but I just didn't want to get into a debate about it with the dude who signs my checks and wasn't forcing me to get vaxxed.

Another funny thing..my direct supervisor who was very pro mask and was always bitching about people in public not masking up and really pushed for masks in the office now believes that masks are a personal choice. Unreal.

Maybe true. But either way, the U.S. should have ranked near the bottom for corona cases, as the extreme transmissibility effected the whole word.

I also still think omicron was either a mistake or a third party as it sort of appeared out of nowhere, breached every country that had avoided any serious outbreaks, was clearly immune to whatever protection vaccines were supposed to give and for the icing on the cake... it was near completely harmless. Practically ended the worst of the lockdown madness overnight.

Surprisingly - not testing for the flu reduces the number of flu cases!

Last year, we had a very small percentage of patients tested for the flu. This year, everyone who is getting a swab is being tested for the flu. Depending on the facility's lab test - the same swab can test for Flu, Covid, and RSV. Lots of facilities had this type of test available last year, but chose not to run them.

the entire scamdemic was an exercise in the masses' inability to see through counting cons.

the "covid deaths" number is not "deaths from covid" but "deaths involving possible covid". it took a LONG time for normies to even open up to this, but the NY gov got trapped in an interview and admitted on video that the "covid deaths" number overstates covid deaths by at least 75%.

the "excess deaths" number is an estimate on top of an estimate that they admit double counts causes of death, right on the CDC website. two years later and the CDC still won't release official death counts, only provisional non-atomic estimates.

historically, and this is one of the biggest cons... coronaviruses were already counted in the flu death tolls. instead, ALL deaths potentially involving a respiratory illness were now labeled covid, influenza was now separated, and it fell to near zero worldwide. when you account for the double counting of excess deaths (which sweden and a few other countries do), and go back to the prior definition of "flu season deaths" that still includes coronaviruses, 2020 wasn't even a top 5 death death tolls of the last 20 years. for most countries it was in the 5-10 range.

▲ 3 ▼
– they-see-me-trollin 3 points 114 days ago +3 / -0

yeah, historically coronaviruses and many other seasonal viral infections were counted generically in the "flu season" even if they weren't actual strains of influenza.

and for the bulk of the "pandemic", any death remotely involving any respiratory distress was categorized as covid, even if it was influenza, pneumonia, gunshot wounds, or motorcycle crashes.

this whole thing was a con.

Thing is, I looked up the city/state statistics and in a city of about 1 million it said there were 10-20 active cases. My entire family got the flu, so apparently we represented 50% of cases in my city at the time.

Which made it the safest two years in modern history for young children, for whom Covid is harmless compared to the flu. And we locked our kids up during it all.

I work in healthcare and for almost the last two years we just stopped testing for the flu completely. The only people who got flu test were those being admitted to a hospital bed and even then it was rare. I asked my bosses (doctors) why we weren't flu testing despite covid and flu having almost identical symptoms. They just told me this is how it is now but now I suspect it was really to milk insurance companies at the time since they also released a set of guidelines we had to make sure each patient met to properly bill their insurance for emergency covid testing. This year we finally restarted flu testing and now we have lots of people testing positive for it and a host of other respiratory viruses. I suspect in a few more years that covid will probably burn itself out completely just like the other corona viruses have done.
