My first performance review at the same company, I caught shit for my professional attire because I dressed like Don Johnson from Miami Vice.
The show was all the rage back then, and one of my internal clients commented that I looked like him - which was quite flattering.
I showed up for a scheduled early morning meeting with the internal client with my hair quaffed, wearing a light pink sports coat white pants and white shoes...with no socks (during a major snow storm, BTW).
We laughed and got the job done. When I got back to my office, my immediate supervisor didn't give a shit about the success of the meeting. All she cared about how was how I represented her department. Results didn't matter.
I’m waiting for the Dems and Biden voters (you know - those 81 million out there) to do similar, good-natured, loving, non-destructive tributes to their (p)resident in all the stores, gas pumps, memes, etc…
Funny, it’s been over 2 years now, and there haven’t been many such efforts. Wonder why…?
