correct.

It could all be fixed with in-person voting on 1 day with ID required and vote-counting done at each voting station.

It's not complicated. They don't want this fixed.

I live in NC and we the people voted in favor of voter ID back in 2016...still not a law. Been vetoed multiple times, is heading to the Supreme Court "eventually"

Probably unrelated. I volunteered to be a house page for NC's house and senate in 2009. My errands were to steal things like candy jars and pens from other members and deliver hand written shit talking messages to others. When the NC lottery bill couldn't pass they told both house and senate they were done and go home or vacation and on that same day as soon as the people left that voted against it, they brought the senate into the house and did the quickest vote (within 2 min) I had seen.

Yep, Chicago had "vote early, vote often" as an unofficial slogan that exemplified the "honesty" of the system there. The only reason this system is broken is because crooked politicians want it broken, there's no way in hell it couldn't have been fixed 50+ years ago.

I played golf a couple times with a guy who won in Texas. He was working as a waiter at Red Lobster. Found out he won sitting on the toilet matching his numbers to the numbers in the newspaper. He gets an annual payment in the hundreds of thousands.

The only model I'd trust for voting machines is if something like the Nevada gaming commission was running it.

Only organization I can think of that has a damn near cheat-proof model.

kind of a stupid analogy, lottery ticket numbers are picked before the lottery is drawn and in a database

permalink save report block reply
▲ 4 ▼
– Dratchev 4 points 147 days ago +4 / -0

correct, they already selected the store to sell the winning ticket at way before. And you can bet the station that sells the big winner is ALWAYS in an area with a avg income of 500k+/yr

And no picking your own numbers will not sneak you in, as they will disable numbers you can play with a pick your own play slip. (I have seen this happen several times)

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 0 ▼
– LesboPregnancyScare 0 points 146 days ago +1 / -1

uhh... no, im not talking about that. the lotto player picks the numbers, which are put into a data base before the lotto draw is pulled.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 1 ▼
– Dratchev 1 point 146 days ago +1 / -0

You can do quick pick which the computer picks number for you, or you do a play slip and pick the numbers you want to play.

The rig is, the lotto already has the numbers they are going to "pick" as the winning numbers before you even have a chance to play. And they will turn off the ability to pick certain numbers.

So lets say the lotto draws on wed and sat. right now its tue. they already have sat numbers they are going to "pick" as the draw and wed hasn't even been "drawn" yet but the wed numbers were decided the last fri/sat. so lets say for the upcoming sat draw they are going to select 2,12,22,31,54 what they will do is turn off the ability for YOU to pick certain numbers, maybe they turn off 12 and 31. so you take your playslip and you happen to pick 4,7,12,23,33,43. me the clerk takes your play slip and feeds it into the lotto machine and it spits out "error" and won't print ticket, unless they decided before hand that they want someone at my station to win.

It's way easier to issue a million random numbers and track which ones you gave out than it is to count a million random votes and tell you which choice was the most popular.

Also.. voting is anonymous and non-repudiable.

If the lottery thinks you cheated, they'll get their money back.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 0 ▼
– LesboPregnancyScare 0 points 146 days ago +1 / -1

i dont know if you have ever seen how lottery tickets are issued, the numbers/values are put into a computer and you get a print out ticket with the numbers and a barcode. This isnt relatable to voting. The lottery is issuing tickets with known values input in a database vs voting: issuing tickets without known values then turning in all the tickets at the same time and reading the values.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 1 ▼
– LesboPregnancyScare 1 point 146 days ago +2 / -1

you pick your ticket numbers/values before the lotto is drawn. Your picks are input into a computer before the lotto is drawn. That is the complete opposite of how voting works.

If a casino can have 25 HD cameras pointed at every person whose job it is to count cash in the vault, voters should have at least that many cameras pointed at every ballot that is being counted in our elections.

90 percent of the people who vote shouldn’t be allowed to. I count myself in that list. For a crack head who doesn’t even know what day it’s to able to vote is insane. It’s even more insane that person could become President. If you can’t tell why you’re voting for someone and why your not voting for the other other then saying they’re racist without any proof or the one your voting for is a woman or black and it times then you shouldn’t be able to vote.
