i studied engineering too then went into autocad design. no family though, i am far to broken in the head to do that kind of thing, i live alone and like it that way
'84, here. Can confirm. Our generation was also the first to be subjected to endless Communist indoctrination. If something doesn't change fast, I'm genuinely terrified of the day we're firmly in charge, and that's a breath away, now.
I’m not. The newer generations (I’m a millenial) are so lazy that society is far more likely to collapse than anything else. The minority of us who can work will pick up the pieces and move on.
‘75 here. My boomer mother raised nothing but my blood pressure as a teenager. My boomer dad worked as much as he could just so he didn’t have to be home. They’re not liberals, they’re politically stupid. Love ‘em both.
Loans arent for the boomer. What im saying is if the boomers could take loans for themselves that their kids had to pay back. But yeah, infl from too much spending kinda is.
I'll second this. My self-proclaimed conservative boomer father watches ABC News religiously. I've told him multiple times that he's watching propaganda, and pointed out instances where they were either completely wrong or where they were hypocritical in their coverage. He'll even agree that it's all biased. Doesn't matter. He still watches them. When I ask him why, his response is always something like "If I don't watch, then I won't know what's going on in the world!"
I don't understand how someone can acknowledge that their news program is biased propaganda but still insist on watching it thinking that they're informing themselves. I guess he figures he's smart enough to spot the propaganda, but I'll frequently hear him spouting leftist talking points and have to explain how it's bullshit. He also told me that he had to "hold his nose" to vote for Trump, so clearly his perceptions are being colored.
Ironically, I'm frequently breaking new stories to him before he ever hears about them from ABC. Somehow I manage to be informed about what's going on in the world without tuning in to propaganda like a brainless drone...
There variations of this but its more common than you think with the Boomer mothers with too much time on their hands.
Also, Boomers that refuse to understand that you do not apply for a job in person anymore at most places. Some places might have a kiosk, otherwise you apply online.
I had the hardest time convincing my boomer father of this back during the mid aughts, when work was hard to come by. I'd spend the whole day in my room submitting resumes, getting more and more depressed, only to come downstairs to have him yell at me for not trying to find a job. Couple of times it came close to blows.
This has happened to my wife in real life. She used to own a small pet grooming business. Had an applicant literally do this. Mommy even did some illegal peeking into our finances (mommy was a bank manager). Needless to say, she was not hired, and her mom was unemployed shortly thereafter.
So the Generation that didn’t suffer from the disastrous policies of their boomer parents until they had established careers thinks their better fortune is due to others “being lazy”.
Millennials are a product of communist schools. I was in the 5th grade when the federal government completely took over education, from PE to math. Some of us were lucky, and red pilled ourselves, but our parents sure didn't help. Our entire curriculum changed, and they didn't even bother to ask why.
Apparently, Simple Minds thought little of the song and didn't want to play it at Live Aid, but Bob Geldorf insisted. Then everyone started pumping their fists in the air and getting into it.
I would accept that is true if you clarify what 'modern' means
arpanet was conceived (by boomers) late 1960s and operational early 1970s, and it was really only used by military and government until late 1980s where college people were given limited slip access to it, and then early 1990s was when this really accelerated with the popularization of email and an early browser called 'slipknot', and then mosaic and netscape, and once there was direct tcp/ip access and laws allowed ISPs, the thing took off. I want to say this was like 1994-1995 ish
‘75 here. Fuck the commie boomers who infiltrated the universities. Fuck the millennial snowflakes who fell for the bullshit.
GenX has our own issues. But damnit. We ain’t a buncha homo commie snowflake fags. Badass movies. Badass music.
One thing: we were the generation taught to not be racist. Period. We were the generation the MLK Jr. dreamed about. We were the generation that judged people by the content of their character, not the color of their skin. Will Smith. Denzel. Wesley Snipes. Martin Lawrence. Morgan Freeman. Halle Berry. They were/are celebrated actors of our generation. It didn’t matter that they were black. They made great movies.
The music. Eh. Well. I like some DMX. Some limited rap. Most of it didn’t appeal to me. I liked rock.
But the thing is, I was taught and believed that the color of skin didn’t matter. And my generation was cool with that.
Then came Barrack fucking Obama. And Kkkillary Clinton. And the modern dems. They took my trust and turned it against me. Fuck ‘em all. All I want is to be left alone. All they want is to make me and my kids feel “less than” because of the color of our skin.
We were also taught that self esteem is what matters. Accepting what we have (including our bodies) and making the most of it, though some of us went a little crazy with the piercings and tattoos.
Our movies made us adventurers, taught us not to be afraid of differences, friends are important, love our idiot parents and respect our wild, out of control grandparents, which we thought they were but they were just trying to keep our boomer parents from fucking us up.
Generation X is the most 'awake' / clear-eyed generation. We're basically the conspiracy theorist generation
Anyway, I am a few days older than Alex Jones, who is also GenX
We've been right about everything, but we're still not well-off. I think many of us tried to change the world for the better, and in this process of being beaten down for this effort, we were led to a deeper understanding of the corruption of the system. It's possible that our world is being run by a psychopathic AI. No Really. And has been for maybe 5 decades. It could be why we keep losing. Have you ever lost a game over and over to the 'expert' AI setting in a video game?
I'm ok with getting shit from Gen-Xers. It's the boomers as a generation that I despise for ushering in the degeneracy of the sexual revolution and opening the Pandora's box of modernism in society and culture. Millennials are lazy retards thanks to that. With social norms broken, there's no purpose in anything.
And I had to EARN that bad boy. Chores and grades. My parents couldn't afford it, looking back. But I treated it with respect and loved it. I wore Keith Courage OUT!
Not gon lie. It gets lonely out here being a Trump supporting gen x'er longing for those good times but we are fighters so we wipe the single tear away and push on!
if the candidate is worth having why does something as silly as generation matter? we need quality candidates and can't afford to be picky with trivialities. im not saying there arent any gen x candidates, just that something like that is almost as pointless as having a woman to have a woman and that's the only point.
It says something about the state of our country not to have apresident who is from a particular generation.
I don't think it was a statement about the need for one, just like being curious about why there are no [blanks] in a particular job. Nothing wrong with wondering why, the problem occurs only when it leads to demands for that [blank] to be "included" because of whatever stupid theme some woke boomer agreed with that came from some idiot millenial.
It is sad. I always thought we were the coolest generation cause, you know, the whole Billy Idol reference. I was always like, ha! Those that name age groups have no idea what they just did I bet. Like a cool secret.
We did have the best movies and the best music tho'. Nothing has been as fun as the 80's. Can't ever take that away from me.
That's when I started my career and it was a great time. The tech boom was exactly that. Jobs in all different fields and industries but you had to have a good work ethic to succeed.
We're the slacker generation. We're also apathetic, cynical and don't vote. At least according to nineties stereotypes. We're also incredibly hard to market to apparently. .
I think some of the political cynicism for me came from getting all excited about Bill Clinton as a candidate (I was from a liberal family) only to have him fail to keep his zipper zipped.
Gen X. A generation that may never have political power. The boomers started taking power in the 1990's. They still hold it. Biden and Trump are even older. It's weird.
But is it actually Greed? Or could it be a deep, existential fear of Death that manifests as Greed and Selfishness and is very strong for that particular group of people for some reason?
Not that it changes the condition of things as they exist for us right now, but certainly something to ponder. I think that may be what it is and certainly would explain the Transhumanist and Safety Over All Things approaches that politics and culture have been taking.
I was born in 1980, and it seems that some definitions place me as a Millennial, which is strange since I was raised on GI Joe, Predator, and knowledge that Trump was a successful businessman.
79 here. By most accounts I've heard, Gen X lasts through the early 80's. If you grew up with He Man, Strawberry Shortcake, My Little Pont, and GI Joe, you'd likely count. If you remember seeing the original Star Wars trilogy on their theatrical re-release and remember the huge number of Kenner action figures, you'd count.
I showed my kid the Back to the Future trilogy and he clearly loved it. Was fun seeing him gasp at all the exciting parts. (In hindsight, can't believe how much Kathleen Kennedy was involved in many of my 80's faves.... The rest of the crew likely kept her in line.)
It's a fuzzy line. I've heard us called X-ennials before. We don't quite fit in either group. I've always associated more with the traits of Gen X, though. Disaffected. Cynical. Race blind. But most X-ers came of age when the machine was still running. I can't say the same.
75 and brother and sister were 79 and 80. We all thought of ourselves as Xers. Never thought of The Breakfast Club as such at the time, but looking back, they definitely weren't boomers, so I accept them. They were just kind of grown up before the X term was even coined.
^this. Born in 62. My life was nothing like most boomers and I never related to them. Mostly raised myself from about the age of 8 or 9. Took my first job at 14 after doing odd jobs in the neighborhood since I was 11. Left home at 16, finished high school, put myself through college, built a life, and never looked back.
All this generational hate is retarded. It’s just people looking for someone else to blame for their own failures in life.
It turns out a lot of films I used to love were actually pushing degenerate bullshit. I still think it's a good movie in a way, but I look at it a lot differently now.
Dad worked a lot, Mom intolerable and consumed by appearances and shopping. Ignored me except when I was meant to be a showpiece. Fine. Did my own thing and was successful. I think the friendships I had in the 80s gave me strength. It felt like a movie and was awesome. Even the bad times. Kids today don't have friends to have their back like we did. My son is 17 and totally based. He is ready to vote for Trump. I wonder if all of this will swing back and we can have another shot at an 80s America.
Checking in here. I hated my Boomer teachers from school. Lazy, didn't do much teaching, and lectured on things like anti-nuclear and demonstration. One teacher spent the whole day reading sailing magazines instead of teaching. I didn't learn math until 7th grade. Turned on TV and they would be bragging about demonstrating against the Vietnam war in Sitcoms. Then I started working and they were lazy, complained a lot and actually bragged about how they made more money than me (even though I only started working.) A weird bunch I thought. Then the Millenials came along and they seem to be 10 time worse. Is it time to leave for Mars yet?
Aint that the truth!
‘72 checking in. My boomer parents were the biggest narcissist’s ever. I raised myself.
Same. 100%. Same Birth Year. Same parents.
Gen X '71 here. Raised myself completely from 15 on. Got a house, a wife and a good family.
71'er here too, latch key kid with mostly absent parents, grandparents were great though
71, latch key as well. Put myself thru engineering college. Got a beautiful family. Living the good life in the Texas Hill Country.
100% truth. We had to do it all on our own. With No internet, no cell phones.
i studied engineering too then went into autocad design. no family though, i am far to broken in the head to do that kind of thing, i live alone and like it that way
Same person, different personalities
'83 early millennial here. I raised myself and partially raised my younger siblings.
My Boomer parents tried and failed because they had issues. My mother doesn't like talking about it.
I also understand why Millennials are hated. We when get to be old we're going to be worse than the boomers because we'll be broke narcissists.
That's still going to be seriously ugly to live through.
‘75 here. My boomer mother raised nothing but my blood pressure as a teenager. My boomer dad worked as much as he could just so he didn’t have to be home. They’re not liberals, they’re politically stupid. Love ‘em both.
if boomers could take loans on their kids, they probably would.
They did.
Thats what student loans are.
Loans arent for the boomer. What im saying is if the boomers could take loans for themselves that their kids had to pay back. But yeah, infl from too much spending kinda is.
True too.
The Gen-X are the parents of current Gen-Z, they fucked up too
I skipped Gen Z my kids are in the newest :)
Boomers are ignorant and millennials are lazy. First hand experience.
You cannot hire a boomer unless they really need the money. You cannot hire a millennial unless you coddle their feelwings.
Give me Gen X workers anyday, work hard, complaints are only when things really are to be complained about and can care less about your feelwings!
Boomers believe everything they hear on the news
Even if you show them countless examples of
Boomers have this kind of cognitive dissonance that could be classified as an Axis III learning disorder
Ironically, I'm frequently breaking new stories to him before he ever hears about them from ABC. Somehow I manage to be informed about what's going on in the world without tuning in to propaganda like a brainless drone...
Exactly this. Why are they so refractory to understanding they have been force fed propaganda their whole life?
I read an article once about a millennial who brought her mom to a job interview and the mom started to interview the interviewer.
There variations of this but its more common than you think with the Boomer mothers with too much time on their hands.
Also, Boomers that refuse to understand that you do not apply for a job in person anymore at most places. Some places might have a kiosk, otherwise you apply online.
The best jobs are always found in person.
only way you know if a place is a shit place to work or not is by going in and talking to the ones running the show. piss on that apply online shit.
That really depends on your industry, though.
Have you ever had a place give you a little print out sheet with the website address? Many chain and corporate owned & run places do that.
The manager does not have a say in any part of that.
That's nice, but in many office & service industry jobs you cannot apply in person.
Unless the place is independent and had a help wanted sign up.
Do you want to work for a company that's completely faceless?
I had the hardest time convincing my boomer father of this back during the mid aughts, when work was hard to come by. I'd spend the whole day in my room submitting resumes, getting more and more depressed, only to come downstairs to have him yell at me for not trying to find a job. Couple of times it came close to blows.
I feel that. I absolutely hate applying for jobs amd only got lucky with the last couple thanks to my incredibly tiny network.
I figure if my current gig goes tits up I'll just go back to landscaping or pick up a trade. Lord knows my degree hasn't done jack diddly for me.
This has happened to my wife in real life. She used to own a small pet grooming business. Had an applicant literally do this. Mommy even did some illegal peeking into our finances (mommy was a bank manager). Needless to say, she was not hired, and her mom was unemployed shortly thereafter.
Can confirm. Best co-workers I’ve ever had have all have been Gen X’ers.
So the Generation that didn’t suffer from the disastrous policies of their boomer parents until they had established careers thinks their better fortune is due to others “being lazy”.
NICE.
Millennials are a product of communist schools. I was in the 5th grade when the federal government completely took over education, from PE to math. Apparently, Simple Minds thought little of the song and didn't want to play it at Live Aid, but Bob Geldorf insisted. Then everyone started pumping their fists in the air and getting into it.
That’s a great song though
It is, but my favorite by them is Changeling
That’s a good one as well.
Very memorable song. I listened to a lot of 80s tonight
Estevez's clothes is pretty much what I wore then and still do.
Simple Minds has many other great songs!
Check out (from New Gold Dream, their best album):
Also, the earlier Real to Real Cacophony is a good album, but a bit more of an acquired taste.
Bob Geldolf as in Pink in The Wall movie?
Mengistu: "Mr Geldof, can I haz money?"
Geldolf: "To feed your starving people?"
Mengistu: "yes" .. spends money to make Africa's best equipped army, like a boss
Yeah. He was a big deal once upon a time. He put that Band Aid song that you hear at Christmas and have no fucking clue who the artists are together.
true 80's fans know every one of them. easier to pick out then that stupid USA for Africa bull shit copy cat look at me song...
Meanwhile gen x and gen z gettin' along fine.
Zs are our kids, so that’d make sense for the most part.
Many GenZ'ers have screw up Millennials as older siblings or closely related relatives.
The broke pot smoking weed dealing Uncle that lives above the garage or in the basement. The single mother Aunt with multiple kids to multiple men.
They have a front row seat to screwing your life up 101, what not to do.
So true. When I had a leddit account I was a member of the gen Z meme sub and it was lit.
I grew up in between analog and digital and I know both. Do not fuck with me.
Gen x built the foundations of the modern internet.
I played D&D on the Internet in 1976. :)
Nerd!
I wasn’t even alive then. Amazing!
Not Al Gore? ;)
I had a TRS 80, connected to a tape recorder for data. Recall the noises produced
You are either my high school boyfriend or the only other person in the world who had a TRS 80!
Lol. Trash 80. State of the art, at the time
I remember playing Star Trek on that, lot of fun.. Also programming games on the Commodore 64... fun times
This.
“When I grow up, I wanna be just like you. All I’ll need is a lobotomy and a pair of tights.”
Neo-Maxi Zoomdweebie.
I always think of Xers as the Jan Brady of generations. Overlooked and misunderstood.
Hat tip to u - that kinda fits perfectly

I’m the man who just wants to be left alone.
There's no time to discriminate, hate every motherfucker that's in your way
spoken like a true GenXer, well done.
I am going to say this with 100% confidence
INFO THOR
The Honk Heard Around The World
Illegal Immigration!
I'm Gen X too and these are some memes I made starring Alex Jones. He also has a cameo in this one:
China Is Asshoe! Gangnam Mix
Alex Jones - check Led Zeppelin Imigrant Song - check Demon slaying - check
Yup.... this all checks out for original gen X material
Well done. Well done.
Thanks. That one is still one of my favorites.
Immigrant song was written by a boomer.
The audience was mostly Gen X though.
This^
I'm ok with getting shit from Gen-Xers. It's the boomers as a generation that I despise for ushering in the degeneracy of the sexual revolution and opening the Pandora's box of modernism in society and culture. Millennials are lazy retards thanks to that. With social norms broken, there's no purpose in anything.
Gen X'er here too! I will ALWAYS think growing up in the 70's and 80's was the best of times. We had awesome rock and roll, too.
We had TV and later cable but most of our activity was being outdoors. And you're right about the music, we got to see the rise of the guitar gods!
Playing at the beach until the sun went down ... OP shorts, Icees, JC Penney.
Sam Goodie, Circuit City and Radio Shack competing for our money.
Turbo Grafx 16 ...
Every fall we'd go to JCPenney or Mervyn's to pick up clothes for the school year, and I'd always get Ocean Pacific clothes. Always.
I like your Swatch!
So glad to hear I wasn’t the only one who had a Turbo Grafx 16. My parents would never get me a Nintendo.
Mine either. Not sure why.
And I had to EARN that bad boy. Chores and grades. My parents couldn't afford it, looking back. But I treated it with respect and loved it. I wore Keith Courage OUT!
CAN YA FEEEEEEL IT?!
Keith Courage!! Talk about a major flashback. Had forgotten about that game.
You brought a tear to my eye.
Not gon lie. It gets lonely out here being a Trump supporting gen x'er longing for those good times but we are fighters so we wipe the single tear away and push on!
First we are Ferris. Next we are Cameron. Finally, we are Ed Rooney.
Fact.
Wanna gummy bear? It's been in my pocket. They're real warm and soft
Ed Rooney is our final form??? I don't think it means what you think it means ...😬
If I had to pick a final form we would be Red Dawn.
Wolveriiiiiines!!!!
I'm afraid there will never be a Gen X president; we're gonna skip right to a millennial
desantis is gen x like myself
If Gen X ever took control, the federal government would be disbanded.
So you are right. There will never be a Gen X president.
if the candidate is worth having why does something as silly as generation matter? we need quality candidates and can't afford to be picky with trivialities. im not saying there arent any gen x candidates, just that something like that is almost as pointless as having a woman to have a woman and that's the only point.

i'm very concerned that you are 100% correct.
Seems to be a true fact. Yet and still... neither of those generations give Gen-X a moment's consideration. Sad
It’s true brother. They were the best times. I think a true golden age for the country.
90s were good too for late Gen X.
That's when I started my career and it was a great time. The tech boom was exactly that. Jobs in all different fields and industries but you had to have a good work ethic to succeed.
I wanted to be the hood of a Jaguar since I was 15.
God rest her.
yeah, except for that whole "Hands across America" thing...
It was the boomers who made Latchkey kids a thing, expecting them to notice now is asking too much.
Yep, I was a latchkey kid, too.
Yeah, but we don’t really care.
“…we don’t really care.” We hate all Millennials. We hate all Boomers. But we don’t really care. WE DON’T REALLY CARE! Sad.
We're the middle children of history, of course we're forgotten.
What’s a negative stigma for Gen-X? That’s the one generation I haven’t seen anyone mercilessly shit on
We're the slacker generation.
We hate everybody and trust no one. But we love America.
Analog childhood. Digital adulthood. Stuck behind a generation of greed and ahead of a super-soft generation.
Yep. We're the last generation to grow up without cell phones and mostly without the Internet.
This.
That was perfect.
Even though he's an absolute jackass now, Better Off Dead was a great movie.
I want my $2!!!
"I'm real sorry your mom blew up, Ricky."
Love your username!
Thanks! The Office was on while I was picking a name. 😺
I think I froze the left side of my brain!
Do you have any idea of the street value of this mountain?
Gen X here, and the first meme video I made was from Better Off Dead:
Bob's Nothing Burger
Then I made two more from that movie:
Bob's Race
Schitt's Going Down
Most of my meme's are sourced from 80's movies.
https://www.bitchute.com/MemeMachine
Those are great. Nice work. 😄
Thanks for watching. 👍 🇺🇸
Yup. Better Off Dead...... I want my two dollars.....
Millennial suuuuck at throwing parties.
Teen pregnancy.
They're druggies. Holy shit do they love their drugs.
I feel you you guys. Stuck between two of the most Narcissistic self absorbed generations ever.
"Why do you have a fake ID?"
"So I can vote."
Oh, Brian.
Gen X was the best.
Is
Gen-X 4 Life. We are the best.
Amen, bro. Now, where's the party tonight?
Eat my shorts, sir.
Gen X. A generation that may never have political power. The boomers started taking power in the 1990's. They still hold it. Biden and Trump are even older. It's weird.
There were so few of us because that's when the pill came out
Has there ever been a generation so greedy that desperately clenches onto life and power like the boomer generation?
They will hold onto the reigns until they fall dead from the horse. The lives of the next generation be damned.
It is an existential fear of death, I agree. They are so attached to materials and the material world.
My father, a boomer, has almost a disdain for the generations to come. His parents handed him everything and he is so selfish and self focused.
It's really hard for me to understand.
I WANT TO ROCK!!!... and carry an M16.
I have done both.
‘79 here, too. Definitely a Gen X.
75 and brother and sister were 79 and 80. We all thought of ourselves as Xers. Never thought of The Breakfast Club as such at the time, but looking back, they definitely weren't boomers, so I accept them. They were just kind of grown up before the X term was even coined.
forgotten middle child
Such a great movie.
Fuck Millennials, I'm Gen Y.
Millenials are Gen Y :p
Sad state of affairs.
I consider millennials to 1994-end I'm not them. I'm Gen Y fuck their rewording.
No rewording, they are synonymous. Always were. You are the one attempting rewording.
Y follows x, bro.
That's a picture of mostly boomers.
True, only Molly Ringworm and AM Hall are X-ers. If you were born before 1964, you're a boomer.
I guess I fall into that group. Born the last year of the boomers.
^this.
Yeah, but playing gen x characters.
Show Dick some respect!
Can confirm
We still had Grandparents that nosed in on our lives.
True.
Yeah our Grandparents were also WWII / great Depression Generation. So we looked up to them
❤️❤️❤️❤️
I think we millenials hate both also
You must be a younger millennial.
No. I was born on the line between Gen X and Millennial, on the the bad side.
Devon Stack (BlackPilled) did a very good analysis of The Breakfast Club:

It turns out a lot of films I used to love were actually pushing degenerate bullshit. I still think it's a good movie in a way, but I look at it a lot differently now.
"America! cuz, Freeedom! ... but not for certain plants, that's degenerate! you can only use government approved plants!
gtfo reefer madness shit sickle
They hated him because he told the truth.
Heh, yeah pretty close
He’ll yes
check'd & kek'd
Meh. I feel old.
‘73 checking in
My friends and I got up at 9a and went straight to the woods. Our parents wouldn’t see us again until 7p.
demented and sad, but social
The world is an imperfect place
What do I do as a millennial who hates millennials?
be based. procreate.
Already on it. Two here, one on the way. Net gain to the Caucasian population.
Had my third a month a go, nine years after my second. Didn't do anything different, but God blessed me.
1973 Check!

Boomers hate millennials? Their Grandchildren?
Yeah, it should be the other way around. Millenials hate boomers. GenX hates them both.
Correct.
Your kids ate tide pods and are the most queer generation in history.
Wake up. The real enemy is Satan himself and everyone needs Jesus to stand a chance in this spiritual war.
