ALL GUN LAWS ARE UNCONSTITUTIONAL

56
DJT_JR6544 56 points ago +57 / -1

All except the one that says the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. I am good with that one.

100
CommieCucker 100 points ago +100 / -0

That's not a law, just a right you are born with

31
DJT_JR6544 31 points ago +32 / -1

Agreed. We need no law to protect an inalienable right. Natural law is quite enough! I still don't mind expressly stating it in the Bill of Rights! That was a great move.

12
CommieCucker 12 points ago +12 / -0

I think it needed the caveat, "fuck around and find out," sure it's implied, but I'm tired of the arguments xD

Most people are too stupid to realize there's a comma. It's two separate thoughts.

9
Bullet3250 [S] 9 points ago +9 / -0

Might just be the most important comma in the history of the world.

5
deplorable-d00d 5 points ago +5 / -0

Because we have an army (and now police) and they have guns, the right of the regular people to also own those same guns, shall not be infringed!

7
AlFreeman 7 points ago +7 / -0

The opponents of the Bill of Rights during the founding of US argued that by expressing those rights explicitly, everything not explicitly expressed would become a power of the government in time. And that people would come to believe these rights were granted by government. It's pretty clear they were right about that now.

4
RolandDelacroix 4 points ago +4 / -0

Well he have those laws and it's still not doing enough. So we clearly need something to protect these rights

It's not a law. It's a constitutional amendment. This is a difference of import because laws are tested against the constitution (or they should be) not the other way around.

6
TrumpoWon2020 6 points ago +6 / -0

It's a right you are born with. You don't need a law or amendment or any government to grant you the natural right to the ability to defend yourself any way you want.

If you choose you need a fucking gunship with cannons that should be your right and be allowed. If you choose to use that against others you've removed their right to freedom and they should be able to use the same against you.

The government does not guarantee freedom or life. Neither does the military. Only YOU do.

2
BoughtByBloomberg2 2 points ago +2 / -0

No you do. Just look at the rest of the world.

You need law upon amendment to safe guard your rights!

Because government doesn't respect your philosophical argument for why it can't opress you.

The constitution is a government limiting document protecting rights considered innate or god given to any human born on this planet.... but only 5% of humanity can even get a taste of that freedom and even that small minority is getting a tainted freedom from government overreach.

You cannot have enough laws affirming your rights! Stop it with the consiveritardism!

2
TrumpoWon2020 2 points ago +2 / -0

Lmao, thanks friend

1
deleted 1 point ago +1 / -0
2
TrumpoWon2020 2 points ago +2 / -0

Well, you aren't wrong. Rights are philosophical or religious constructs and if you can't personally defend having them then they'll be taken from you.

All of human history is a sad story of someone stronger or better armed removing "rights" from someone else unless they can defend themselves.

Normally when people talk about gun "rights" what they're referring to usually is their ability to defend what their ideals and belief of "rights" is from anyone who would seek to remove freedoms and otherwise enslave them in some form, either physically or mentally.

When guns are restricted then people can no longer defend what they deem to be their personal rights or freedoms. And someone will take those things away or prevent their existence. That could be some gang banger busting into you house and killing your family or it could be a government seeking to enslave you or even a foreign power invading your country.

This. You shouldn't need laws granting permission for a God given, Constitutional right.

-6
Im-Wide-Awake -6 points ago +2 / -8

So anyone should be able to get a gun at any time, without restriction?

8
WooseTheMoose 8 points ago +8 / -0

No. Anyone should be able to get any arm at any time without restriction.

-6
Im-Wide-Awake -6 points ago +1 / -7

I appreciate your response, but this isn't what both of the previous users said. They specified guns.

8
TrumpoWon2020 8 points ago +8 / -0

Yes. Everyone should have guns.

If you use them illegally you should be hanged or be in prison. Everyone else should have a gun.

The alternative is communism or a totalitarian government.

-11
Im-Wide-Awake -11 points ago +1 / -12

If you use them illegally

Such as murder? Why would we give criminals easier access to commit these atrocities? With unrestricted gun laws, then anyone, even a felon on parole, can just walk in and order a gun.

11
BamaMAGA 11 points ago +11 / -0

Criminals get all the guns they want right now. Gun restrictions apply only to us. Criminals do not see the world like you, to them it is their playground.

9
deplorable-d00d 9 points ago +9 / -0

Murder is illegal. Just an FYI.

8
TrumpoWon2020 8 points ago +8 / -0

Let me say that again. YOU SUPPORT COMMUNISM IF YOU SUPPORT ANY LEVEL OF GUN CONTROL.

People who commit crimes should be met by men similarly armed and hanged or imprisoned.

Gun confiscation only leads to communism and nazis. Tell me, which governments restrict gun rights? North Korea, China, all communist satellite nations during communist rule. You're a fucking lunatic if you think restricting guns leads to anything good.

6
CnnWillBlackmailYou 6 points ago +6 / -0

If a felon has served his time, why are they still being punished?

Either he's paid his debt to society or he hasn't. He sure as shit isnt a puppet to be used to invent a "grey area" on gun control.

4
TrumpoWon2020 4 points ago +4 / -0

Not if everyone else is armed.

You're a fucking communist. Tell me, which countries restrict gun control you dumb ass. North Korea. China. Soviet union.

Wow, that's a great list of countries ain't it you faggot? Fuck you.

6
TrumpoWon2020 6 points ago +6 / -0

Note he said arm to specify all munitions other than guns which all people should have access too.

ALL people. Fuck you for supporting communism or nazis that seek to limit the right of the people to own and bear ALL arms.

-6
Im-Wide-Awake -6 points ago +1 / -7

Even criminals? People with histories of violence? BLM? Everyone should have a gun?

7
TrumpoWon2020 7 points ago +7 / -0

People who commit crimes should be met by men similarly armed and hanged or imprisoned.

Gun confiscation only leads to communism and nazis. Tell me, which governments restrict gun rights? North Korea, China, all communist satellite nations during communist rule. You're a fucking lunatic if you think restricting guns leads to anything good.

7
BamaMAGA 7 points ago +7 / -0

YES. The current revolving door system is getting innocent people killed.

6
CnnWillBlackmailYou 6 points ago +6 / -0

It's absolutely adorable that you think making guns illegal for criminals has exactly any impact.

3
TrumpoWon2020 3 points ago +3 / -0

Let me say that again. YOU SUPPORT COMMUNISM IF YOU SUPPORT ANY LEVEL OF GUN CONTROL.

People who commit crimes should be met by men similarly armed and hanged or imprisoned.

1
WooseTheMoose 1 point ago +1 / -0

The constitution says arms though.

Not guns.

-2
Im-Wide-Awake -2 points ago +1 / -3

Does arms include guns?

5
TrumpoWon2020 5 points ago +5 / -0

Yes. And anyone seeking to use them against others will be stopped by everyone else.

EVERYONE should have guns. And access to everything else. The alternative is communism and totalitarian governments.

-6
Im-Wide-Awake -6 points ago +1 / -7

They will be? What stops a criminally violent person from going to the store, buying a gun, walking out, and shooting the first person he sees? You're saying that they will be stopped before they can do harm?

What stops a leftie from just shooting you in the back when you disagree with them?

6
BamaMAGA 6 points ago +6 / -0

If shooting the 1st person a new gun owner sees gets him immediately filled with lead, problem forever solved. If said person would do such a thing, he's doing it now.

-4
Im-Wide-Awake -4 points ago +1 / -5

And if shooting the criminal a third new gun owner comes in, misreading the situation, and immedialtey fills that guy with lead. What then?

2
Fallingshadow 2 points ago +2 / -0

If the majority of people had guns, and there were no gun free zones, then yes. There would be fewer incidents of criminals getting away with their crimes.

-3
Im-Wide-Awake -3 points ago +1 / -4

But, easier access for people to commit these crimes. Probably lessens repeat offenders, sure, but does it not allow easier access for a surge in first time offenders?

Felons, criminals, people with a history of violence, untrained idiots, should all be able to get a gun, whenever they want, as long as they have the money?

7
CnnWillBlackmailYou 7 points ago +7 / -0

Absolutely.

The list of "repeat offenders" would drop to zero pretty fucking quick, and ultimately more lives will be saved.

-6
Im-Wide-Awake -6 points ago +1 / -7

YOu don't see the risk of misunderstandings? Untrained gun nuts pulling a trigger when they get emotional?

6
CnnWillBlackmailYou 6 points ago +6 / -0

Of course I see risk. Especially at first while the pussies that never fought for their rights in the first place are armed.

But that absolutely pales in comparison of the risk posed by a tyrannical government convincing those same pussies that NOBODY needs a gun, and then not having the ability to defend when they go full Canada or Australia.

Even already our government has swollen WAY outside of its lane. How many are dead because the government mandated a non working, untested vaccine?

exactly..... but... parroting what others say......"what about dangerous felons?" still a fence sitter on this one. I would say after serving time and being 'clean' for a bit(to be determined), this is the ONLY law I would allow if it were up to me. You should be able to own anything the military does, and not just outdated shit.

8
TheTruthIsInHere 8 points ago +8 / -0

Dangerous felons already have an advantage over regular people - lack of ethics/morals, violent tendencies, naturally more aggressive, take your pick. Universal access to guns levels the playing field.

If everyone had a gun handy, when a potential dangerous felon tried shit, the problem would fix itself. The justice system would also be unburdened.

1
Vlad_The_Impaler 1 point ago +1 / -0

Just wanted to chime in and remind everyone that the "justice system" doesn't work and is corrupt.

Even the jury selection process is a scam. The judge/government basically gets to handpick every juror and dismiss the ones they don't like. That alone makes trial by jury of your peers a fuckin' lie. The judge/government then tells the jury what they must do. They coach them, tell them what evidence they are allowed to review, that they must acknowledge laws even if the jurors believe those laws to be BS, etc.

The Quash - Spooner Trial by jury pt 1 https://podcastaddict.com/episode/137757153

7
ImmuneResponse 7 points ago +7 / -0

Nope. Solution:

Abolish for-profit prisons. Institute harsh punishment for violent crime. You get one "freebie", which gives you a chance to rehabilitate if you give a shit. If you do it again, or do something similar, you go to prison for at least a life sentence. At that point, anyone not in custody or otherwise incarcerated for committing violent crimes should have zero restrictions on their Second Amendment rights.

If we go back to actually punishing violent offenders, there will be far fewer violent offenders on the streets.

The only exceptions are those ruled mentally incompetent or psychotic, as determined by a judge and jury, with due process and examination of defense.

I support the Second Amendment. Period. That includes military hardware, as was intended by our illustrious forbears. Any law or ruling that circumvents or curtails those inherent freedoms is unconstitutional and thus, should be ignored entirely.

2
Charliethebum 2 points ago +2 / -0

1
WooseTheMoose 1 point ago +1 / -0

Do you think this rights should extend to corporations?

Should there be any limits? Or could a wealthy enough corporations own a small military?

4
ImmuneResponse 4 points ago +4 / -0

I mean, they practically do as is, and I think that's part of the problem. Private contractors a la Blackwater, able to operate outside scrutiny and with absolute free reign to do whatever they want, precisely because they don't answer to the people.

In earnest, I don't think it should apply to corporations, but each individual person inside said corporation has the right to make their own decisions.

I think privatizing "defense contractors" should be barred outright, and the original Constitutional interpretation of "militia" should be brought back in force. No more soldiers of fortune operating with impunity. No more militarized police departments. No more consolidation of government power. No more for-profit prisons. No more state-sanctioned propaganda.

There goes most of our problems, and takes the power away from those who would seek to oppress us.

4
CnnWillBlackmailYou 4 points ago +4 / -0

If an ex-con wants a gun for nefarious purposes, the ex-con will get a gun. Period.

All these laws do is prevent the reformed, law abiding ex con from his rights as a human.

The PURPOSE of these laws is to give anti-gunners a foot in the door so they can pretend there's grey area that they'll forever stretch.

That's how it worked with gay marriage, after all. No state could refuse to recognize another state's approval of sodomy, so soon we'll have it with carrying a gun.

#GunWins

7
Fidget 7 points ago +7 / -0

Really? What a dream that would be. How would that work?

10
JustHereForTheSalmon 10 points ago +10 / -0

Same way it did with gay marriage. "Perfect plaintiff" talks with a lawyer in advance to get arrested for carrying concealed to create a dispute in an overwhelmingly gun hostile city/county/state, appeal to the Supreme Court. Argue precedent was already set with making Defense of Marriage Act unconstitutional. Fast tracked could take less than a year.

7

So a black mother who's conservative needs to get arrested for CCW in DC? Skyrocketing crime, she simply wants to protect herself and her children is all.

A few questions for you:

  1. Do you know how long he has led the NRA?

  2. Do you know how poor the NRA was before they brought him on?

  3. Did you read up on the lawsuits regarding NRATV? - and the players who brought the lawsuit?

The back story is wild - and the players are ruthless and the Marketing company LIED their face off in getting the Contract signed.. that is why you got a ton of Negative Press on the NRA...

6
wiombims 6 points ago +6 / -0

I don't need "press" to dislike the nra. You conveniently forgot how they handle voting members in hotel rooms to stop people from correcting the ship. You CONVENIENTLY forgot how the NRA keeps horse-trading gun rights because "the alternative would have been worse". If you genuinely support gun rights and you're not a fudd, find yourself an actual gun rights organization to support as rabidly as you shill for the NRA. The NRA-ILA should remain as they do good work. The NRA should burn in a fire and its ashes should be pissed on. Fuck you for even trying to spin LaPierre's corruption. The motherfucker did nothing but piss away our gun rights and you don't know that? Fuck you.

You must have missed how in Florida they maligned a gun org (IN THE NRA NEWSLETTER) that was actually trying to improve gun rights so they could keep railroading pro-gun legislation. I could go on but you people really should shut the fuck up. At best you're uninformed. At worst, you're shills for an organization which has done tremendous harm to 2A and who keeps saying "we've changed" up until the NEXT time they fuck over 2A. So far, they haven't reversed that trend. Yeah, the NRA was maligned by the dems with calumnies. The real travesty is that you people refuse to talk about the real dirt in the NRA's closet full of skeletons. There's a reason people like IV8888 finally dumped the NRA's ass and it ain't because of the democrats or because they just don't support gun rights like you. If you're a fudd and you just love the NRA trading away the 2a one piece at a time because you have your shotguns, great, donate so your money can be wasted and shut the fuck up. They "aren't perfect" is so far from what the NRA has done that it might as well be a lie.

There's no purity test here. Every major infringement, including RECENTLY red flag laws, they've been involved in. That's not a purity test. If you constantly give away 2a, that's not a fucking purity test, shill. And the NRA hasn't done SHIT for gun owners. They have, in fact, TRADED AWAY GUN RIGHTS. The NRA-ILA HAS done things for 2A. You going to start admitting the NRA hardly ever gives money to the ILA? In fact, they obfuscate things to make it seem like you're donating to ILA causes when it all goes for more advertising for the NRA. They run the exact same model the current GOP does: "we make more money when there's a democrat in office, don't bother with the 2020 election". Don't think I didn't see you try to pass off the nra-ila as the nra. It's a sad, pathetic trick and it unfortunately works on too many kind-hearted and ignorant nra members who don't think it be like it do but it is.

You're a real piece of work. I believe you but why exactly did you not sign up for an NRA-ILA lifetime membership instead? I know why but share with the rest of the people on this site so they know too. GOA, NRA-ILA, and local groups are the only ones getting my money or my support. Idk why you like shilling for the NRA but I guess that's a you problem. The only reason it becomes my problem is because tards/shills like you enable the NRA to trade more of MY gun rights away.

RolandDelacroix -2 points ago +1 / -3

NRA is the big dog doing 90% of the work, and they never take credit because their name is toxic to all of the Left and people like you.

They are far from perfect but are critical to restoring the 2A in this country.

Gun Owners of America are another good one. They're more ideologically pure and willing to take on the small fights that NRA won't.

5
SirYouAreIncorrect 5 points ago +6 / -1

the NRA never supports Self Defense cases, never supports Gun Owners, the only thing the NRA has ever supported is Shooting Sports and Hunting

The NRA has a long track record of compromising the rights of gun owners including their Support the Assault Weapons ban, the National Firearms act, and the creation of the ATF.

They are perfectly fine with selling gun owners out as long as Shootings sports and Hunting is "protected" even allowing heavy regulations for those activities.

the NRA is an actual enemy of the 2nd amendment. you can claim it is because of "the left" but you clearly have not studied the history of the NRA if you believe that.

The NRA has made themselves an easy target of the left because of their unprincipled and corrupt nature.

If the NRA is the key to restoring the 2A, then we are all doomed

4
RolandDelacroix 4 points ago +4 / -0

The NRA-ILA was almost solely responsible for CCW in Illinois. Without high powered NRA lawyers advising Illinois conservatives, particularly collar County moderates who are clueless on guns, we would have had more restrictions than California on a May Issue system. They basically wrote the laws, then handed them over to Republicans, and backed off, removing their name from everything because moderates can't vote for NRA backed laws and win reelection.

The NRA was also responsible for creating a legal loophole that allows SBRs here, finally.

The NRA-ILA has done similar hundreds of times in California, and other states that would now be Gun Free zones without them.

They have major flaws, particularly the NRA side, but the fact that you don't even have a clue about the good they do, or that there's even a separate company that handles legal in the background, indicates you are completely ignorant aside from what you've been told by other ignorant haters.

1
wiombims 1 point ago +2 / -1

Let me guess, you don't know about the times when the NRA astroturfed its board so it could keep trading in your 2A. Or the many times it ran democrat-style disinfo campaigns on smaller gun rights orgs like GOA so it could support rino candidates railroading gun law reform. Or all the places it abandoned because they were "lost causes" so they could have a more lavish event and pay its operational expense hires more. You wouldn't know about any of that, huh? 90% of the work my ass. Half the time they swoop in at the last minute after a deal is done. When the "NRA" is involved, it's the NRA-ILA so NONE of the money sent to the NRA went there. And people like you just keep repeating the same bullshit over and over. Durr the NRA got rid of some more of my 2A but they're indispensable folks! How else are your kids going to learn about firearm safety?

You know you can bump fire pistols to simulate that without the 200 tax stamp. You can even do it with both hands on the grip with certain makes and models.

Just carry anyways. it's like a misdemeanor and unless your visibly a patriot they probably will just let you out without paying bail.

5

In PA, that misdemeanor carries 2 to 5 years of jail time, which would put you in the state pen

BREAKING NEWS Georgia comes into compliance with the Constitution, half of states still in violation

6
victory2024 6 points ago +6 / -0

South Carolina needs to do this too. They are dicks when it comes to recognizing certain out-of-state CCW permits. For example, they don't seem to recognize any non-resident permits issued by other states, and they don't issue permits themselves to non-residents unless you own property in SC. Basically making it impossible to carry there if you live in a may-issue state, even if you've gone to the trouble of getting something like a Utah CCW.

4
easyonthefiber 4 points ago +4 / -0

The crazy state of CCW reciprocity can only be described as purposefully malicious at this point. There are states which have a permit process but don't recognize some states, and states which don't recognize any other state's permit. The resulting confusing can and has resulted in severe consequences for individuals crossing state lines.

Look at PA, a very simple form, $20 charge, and the same background check for purchasing a handgun in the first place. Recognized by 32 states, and recognizing 29 states. However, NY, DE, and MD surround PA and all three of them "may" issue permits but don't honor PA's permit at all. If a PA resident crosses into NY, DE or MD while carrying, they can be arrested.

Unless you're a LEO....Then you join the cool kids club and can get your LEOSA permit, forcefully recognized by every state at the federal level.

4
DestroyerofCobwebs 4 points ago +5 / -1

Ok, now do something actually useful and start an inter-state compact that says any state w/ Constitutional Carry issues Concealed Carry permits (hear me out) on a pro-forma basis to all requestors, based upon passage of a simple yes/no background check to determine if the applicant is a prohibited person.

Why is this important?

Because in many states, if you have a permit the FFL doesn't have to submit 4473 to sell you a gun. They still have to fill it out, but it never gets sent. Since the congress just passed a law that says any failed 4473 check will result in a criminal investigation, this should help eliminate false positives.

I think they could easily set up 2 classes of suppressor...

One class to fully minimize gun fire sound as far as possible.

and a Second class to minimize sound for hearing... so to about 125db....but not lower... so there is a sound, but it is minimized to actually protect ears.

4
Spez_BTFO_v2 4 points ago +4 / -0

You do realize even the best suppressors still aren't hearing safe? Suppressors aren't actually Hollywood quite. Guns are loud as fuck even with a suppressor on.

1
Bullet3250 [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

I don't have and have not used suppressors. But the last bill in Congress made powerful arguments that various suppressors do offer protection to hearing to some level. Obviously a suppressor is far better for your ears, and those around you while shooting, than no suppressor.

2
Spez_BTFO_v2 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yes. It is better than no protection. I'm just correcting the falsehood that suppressors are quite. And that use of one alone is adequate hearing protection.

You still need hearing protection. And you will still hear the shots loud and clear.

Guns and anti-grooming are winning issues across America. We need to force Dems to admit their agenda, loud and clear.

If they lie and say they won't take away people's guns, they will enrage their own base, which is another bonus.

Fight on favorable ground, not unfavorable ground. Go on offense, not defense.

3
yukondave 3 points ago +3 / -0

So when do the 38 states amend the constitution to clear up and BS the courts have done to the 2nd Amendment?

We need to support a convention and sort out some stuff while we are at it. Like fix the number of judges. Disband most federal law enforcement. Drop the interstate commerce act. Maybe even the right to taxation is only left to the state and repeal 16th. Direct election of senators.

Yes I know, 2nd Amendment is more than a right but natural law. Just tell that to the cop when they arrest you.

Many States are one-party (democrat) states, and the Democrats HATE individualism, free speech, self-defense rights for the law abiding, guns in the hands of the law abiding, etc. Meanwhile, in the red States we've had to drag our Republicans kicking and screaming into passing these bills.

5
Bullet3250 [S] 5 points ago +5 / -0

While the US CONSTITUTION is stunningly clear on the RIGHT to bear and own firearms, (. . . . SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED.) States can set their own laws and do infringe constantly. There are dubious LEGAL issues as how and when the 2A applies... and Cities also have set their own gun laws. Even when you are free to carry a gun - some states limit you to specifically how and where.

There are app. some 20,000 or so laws on the books across the entire Nation regarding guns such as, which guns your are 'allowed' to own, what parts are legal and which parts are not legal, how you carry or transport a gun, where you can hunt with which kind of gun, when, how you store a gun, where you can discharge a gun, how you are allowed to discharge a gun, your age to own a gun, process to purchase a gun, and on and on...

The law is confusing. Toss in Federal Agencies like the ATF - that regulate certain Federal laws - and you can see how it is a massive cluster F'

3
flashersenpai 3 points ago +3 / -0

Because a long time ago the government banned alcohol. This helped organized crime grow. Then they blamed organized crime for violence and passed laws banning guns. That's more or less where the NFA came from.

The rest of the laws "regulating" guns are to keep "undesirables" (black, poor, asian, whatever) from owning guns. And they just kept the laws because it's about power and not safety.
