The past few months have been hell. Election and national situation aside, in the past four months I've been laid off from my job due to diversity campaigns at a large tech company, got a new job, sold a house, bought a house, and am dealing with a huge amount of stress related to all of those things.

A month after I sold my old home I was contacted by a lawyer stating that the couple that bought it feel they were misled despite the home being correctly listed and disclosed, their successful home inspection, successful VA appraisal, and the man (an engineer) being present for the inspection. They want to "cancel" the contract. I've had to lawyer up and I doubt they have any sort of case, but it's a stressor nonetheless.

Two weeks into living in my new home the basement flooded due to record rains in my area that've likely raised the water table and will probably require foundation repairs. Cracks are appearing in our drywall joints and around the doorways as well as drywall screws popping out around the ceiling/wall joints. The metal roof pops frequently and I can no longer tell what's normal temperature movement and what's settling, so every little pop is like a hit to my stress. I've got a structural engineer coming tomorrow and I'm so nervous I feel like I could vomit at any moment. I never had anxiety before this year. I've always been wound a little tight but able to deal. This bevy of craziness has worn me thin. I haven't had a good sleep in what feels like months, and it's taking it's toll on my fiance as well. She's a wonderful person and I hate seeing her this stressed.

To top all that off, most of my family has gotten vaccinated. Many of them are older and I'm worried about their long-term health. My grandfather is in the care of my overly-liberal lefty asshole uncle who rushed to vaccinate him as soon as he could. I was just informed this week I wouldn't be allowed to see him unless I get vaccinated. No, but thanks for the ultimatum... fucking prick.

In completely unrelated news, my grandfather has come down with Covid-like symptoms and has been through three rounds of antibiotics with no success. Docs have no idea what's going on. It's a real head-scratcher. So long story short, I likely won't get to see my grandfather again before he passes unless everyone in the mainstream does a hard turn on the vaccines which seems pretty unlikely at this point. It honest to god hurts to type that about my grandfather, and I'm not a very emotional person. I don't think it's a stretch to say this is the weirdest time in history to be alive. Everything feels off, and it seems like there's no end in sight. Normal, or what seemed normal, feels like it's gone.

I just wanted to get this out of my head and into text somewhere so maybe I can stop thinking about it so often. Shouting into the ether, I guess. Thanks for reading if you did; no need to comment or upvote.

EDIT: My neurotic ass wants to respond to everyone, but instead of that I'll say thanks for the kind words. Pedes are the best frens. Hopefully all this crap passes soon and we can get back to WINNING. WINNING. WINNING.

Lord if it be your will, see this man through his difficulties, ease the burden of the crosses he bears. Amen.

Lord, I ask this also. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray, amen.

I'm sorry to hear that brother. That's a lot to take on. The reason you have to sign so much paperwork when doing inspections and all that when buying or selling is for this situation. You'll be just fine on that front. You may have a discrimination lawsuit against your former employer if they fired you because your skin wasnt the right color

You're not alone man. Times have been hard for a lot of us. You absolutely need to get real sleep ASAP. No sleep will start to do you in without you even realizing it (relationship trouble, work performance trouble, etc).

focus more on getting good sleep

Hang in there and stay strong, my friend. You will get through these stresses and be happy. I will pray for you and your fiancé.

We are a community fren. My heart goes out to you. Remember, we will get past these times and one day folks will marvel at just how we did. Stay strong.

What does your Grandfather himself want? IE: Would he want to to visit regardless of the vax?

Hang in there Patriot, it's always darkest before the Don.

Matthew 5: 1-16

Remember some of the Beatitudes, brother. Stay strong, pray to the Lord for His mercy and comfort. You will make it through these current trials.

Blessed are the poor in spirit

Blessed are those who mourn

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness

Blessed are those which are persecuted for rigtheousness sake

This will sound horrible out of context but remember this.

Humans place too much value on life, and too little value on living.

We have been conditioned as a society, over time to become humanists. People of men. But we are not. We are children of God. There are things more important than living...

Truth. Honor. Justice. Love. To name a few.

Take a step back. Pray every night. Pray always. Don't forget your Father in heaven. I'm sorry if you are not a Christian and can't relate to this. Maybe just give it a try and see what happens...

What does this have to do with your predicament? I'm not really sure. Just inspired to share.

I hope your situation improves. I'll say a prayer for you fren.

You can't do much to control what others do if they want the vaccine. Take it one day at a time. This too shall pass. Take it easy on yourself. The serenity prayer is helpful when I am overwelmed. Good luck.

Everything sounds like you are reacting to the stress like a normal human being. I don't see anything that needs to change with you. Life sometimes throws stones at us and when that happens, these are the kinds of reactions we have. It's been a shitty year for most of us and yes, I felt stress and upset many times this year. Ironically, a lot of the upset comes from the belief that life shouldn't be/feel this way when in fact, that's exactly how it's supposed to be/feel under these circumstances. We just forget how life works sometimes and exchange that for a fantasy where it works another way. Hurtful and stressful shit happens to us and we feel hurt and stressed. Imagine that? It'll pass.

Winners are made by how they handle the hard time. Excelsior!

EllemenoP 3 points ago +3 / -0

All of these things will pass away my friend. Don't let them ruin your enjoyment of life. Things are probably feeling off because you're more aware now, ands that has benefits, but it can also be complicating. Turn to things that make you laugh - it trult is the best medicine, along with prayer. It seems cliche, but it's true. Sending prayers your way.

Stress and worry are a meditation on scenarios in which God is not sovereign or does not exist. Either He exists and is in charge, or He does not. I believe in all my heart and mind that God exists, His son Jesus died to pay for my sins and yours and that He loves us.

Don't walk blindly through life, but do not meditate on things you cannot control. Instead, try to count your blessings and pray thanks and praise. There is nothing thankfulness and forgiveness cannot overcome.

With all that said, I feel you and am praying for your situation!

Get your grandfather some Ivermectin STAT. The vax makes covid worse for people who got the shot.

Sorry for all your troubles.

Plan B is run away, change your name, stow away on a ship to Tahiti.

I feel you, fren. My husband I live in Melbourne Australia, where we have simultaneously fuck-all Covid cases and crazy harsh lockdowns. I worry every day about losing my job because I won’t take THE JAB, it’s hanging over my head that they’ll make it mandatory. My husband and I are both struggling, it’s been so long since anything felt “normal”. I think this must have been what it was like living in Nazi Germany - seeing what you thought were rational, intelligent people just go fucking insane all around you. Then treating you like you’re the crazy one for not following “the science”…..

It’s hard, but you’re not alone. Millions of others feel the same way. If they ever shut this place down I’d be lost.

Get away even if it is for a day or two, worrying about what you cannot change is toxic. Bait a hook, listen to the quiet of nature.

Maga2020Maga2020 2 points ago +3 / -1

One day at a time.

Stay strong, it is important.

We had decades of soft lives compared to how human history normally rolls along, now for the harder times.

You can do it.

iirc_life 2 points ago +2 / -0

Hard times reveal character, fren. Focus on what truly matters and don't make the mistake of trying to solve all your problems at once.

And do not overlook the fact that whereas God is in the business of seeing you through the storm, He is also the one who sends them.

swift_water 2 points ago +2 / -0

Pray man. Seriously. You have to fight this but you don't have to fight it alone. Pray.

Kilroy 1 point ago +1 / -0

Pray, as others are doing for you. Best decision I ever made was to let go and start letting God handle the details.

Look up Wim Hof and his breathing exercise. A round takes less than 15 min and leaves me feeling relaxed

hrocio_209 1 point ago +1 / -0

I'm sorry to hear all the craziness you're having to go through, but you are not alone. I know there's a lot of people who will see this and pray for you and everyone else that's going through hard times right now. Don't be afraid to cut off your toxic family members and maybe bust down a door in the hospital lol. Just take things one step at a time so you can lessen your anxiety and get proper sleep

PedoJoenHisHo 1 point ago +1 / -0

Chin up bro, You could always be a lefty lol,,,,Hang in there,,,it'll get easier

loxdeaddog 0 points ago +2 / -2

I was so stressed because of my work it was affecting my health so, I went to the doctors and got a scrip for anxiety. It is not a long term solution but, it really helps.....maybe talk to a doctor?

figgle 4 points ago +4 / -0

Yeah man, just pump yourself full of big pharma drugs to numb yourself to the very real stresses that motivate real action and change.

No wonder we won't rebel against the Biden Regime. You're all to numbed up on fucking happy pills to see the world burning around you.

ENormaStitz 1 point ago +1 / -0

I used to have trouble sleeping but not anymore. Wear earplugs to shut off all noises, sleep on your side with one ear on the pillow and a big hot pack on the exposed ear. You will nod off in seconds. No pills needed.

worldowedexplanation 2 points ago +2 / -0

Or just take magnesium and meditate.
