Like Brexit i get it. But i believe it's much harder when you're in a country than a economic union of countries. Adding things up might be hard. I agree it's an option and should have the right to. But getting there diplomaticly is lots of work to be done.

Without secession, we are under the boot of the communists! They control the media, the academia, and all major online platforms. They won stole the House, Senate, and the Presidency. They already consistently win the popular vote. They will end the Electoral College, import tens of millions of low-IQ moochers (especially to Texas), add DC & PR statehood, and have total political control!
For starters we need political migration to Republican-majority counties: ideally in solid-red states, and ideally not landlocked. Buy up all the land, vote out all the commies, and do Gandhi-style non-violent resistance until we are free!
Once the dam cracks, secession will take off all over the world (especially Russia, China, etc). Down with globalism, down with all empires, all power to Individual Rights and local communities between which people can vote with their feet!
When governments compete, brains and capital flow towards greatest economic freedom, socialism runs out of other people's money, and LIBERTY SHALL PREVAIL!
Never forget that China holds almost all U.S. debt. Default is a great idea. Give em one last leg drop and restart , nothing to lose at this point.
I'm not talking about a default, which has consequences for the government.
I'm talking about repudiation through secession. We're no longer the same country that borrowed the money!
