How would someone go about doing this, or is it even possible? I can't seem to be able to make an account. I get a blank page after submitting the new account form.

If you're having problems signing up or signing in thru a particular browser, make a post in the Meta community c/Meta and see if you can get help.

I realize this is a catch-22 for signup problems, but it looks like you already have created an account so you can post to c/Meta with it and pay-it-forward to help a future user.

Just sign up through a public wifi network. Thatps even more secure than relying on a TOR node.

Never use tor to sign-in. PERIOD!

if you do not understand why, you have no business in using tor. You are a danger to yourself and the community of tor users.

Would you mind elaborating?

I think they mean, don't sign up/sign in on any account, and then sign in to the same account on any other browser. It can then link you between the two.

If they can't give you an actual reason, well I would take their warning with a grain of salt.

I'd guess it has to do with exit nodes since there's no .onion address, but the severity of that is up to your threat model.

If you refuse to explain why, people are just going to keep doing it.

It is not my obligation to explain anything to people who are too stupid to read a manual BEFORE employing powers they remain ignorant (willfully and knowingly) about.

This is the same class of people, still posting tiktok, facebook and MSN links, who use their stupid insecure and spied on smartphones to infest secure systems. The same class who fail to employ logical thinking and remain emotional on the plane of consequences. The same class who would put their cat in a micro-oven for drying.

As is said: a well is covered only after the calf has drowned.

It is not my obligation to explain anything to people who are too stupid to read a manual BEFORE blah blah blah...

Okay, cool. People are going to keep doing it then.

Just think, in the time you spent writing that comment you could have explained why it's a bad idea.

And I'm pretty sure the Tor manual never said anything about that anyway.

Ohh yeah... I know when I install a new browser the first thing I do is read the entire "manual".... Sure...

See how smart you are? That is the difference between knowing and the self overestimation.

But by all means, persist in your frame of mind, and see what benefits you reap.

Blessed are those ignorants, they will inherit the earth.
