because it means that much to us, regardless of what ridiculous tyranny they are trying to attempt. When I said the date to my husband, he was quite excited and I thought it was perfect for us. It's probably gonna be hot as shit, but fortunately it's a small thing with just our family and we're spending next to nothing. I found a great sample dress that I liked that would be $1200...for only $400, so that made me extremely happy. I can't fathom spending a ton on a wedding regardless of how we did it. His tuxedo rental cost more than half the dress 😫 but those our are most expensive things. We didn't do much else, just small things for our family. Special dog collars for the dogs since they'll be there too, because FAMILY ❤️🐾 so far we are only at like $1300 total. Woohoo 😂

Why does any one need a marriage license?

Funny how you need a piece of paper that tells you that you can engage in a private contract with another person.

I don't think we need one, just doing that merely for the fact that if something happens...they usually require that for you to make any important decisions or whatever. If the world stays in one piece...I'm not a huge fan, but oh well the government keeps tabs on all of us anyways. They probably know exactly how long we've been together since they don't have anything better to do.

The truth is the government only cares about the divorce part where they get paid out.

Congratulations!

I did both my weddings on a budget too. My first one my mom made my dress and my sisters maid of honor dress (she's a seamstress), husband rented a tux, got a friend to make our cake, had the wedding at his parents house. I put together my bridal bouquet myself. His parents rented a floral arch thing. We definitely spent less than 1500.

Second wedding got a bit weird bc we had been planning to get married in the Bahamas on 09/27/2001 but 9/11 happened and since he was in the Army he got put on 1 hour recall. Canceled those plans, found a rose garden that was local, my dress was actually a light pink prom dress that I paid $200 for, made my own bouquet again and a friend from work took our pics. Since we got married in a rose garden on a beautiful sunny day in Sept the pics came out gorgeous. After we got married we went through the McDonalds drive through for food, me still in my dress. We did finally get that trip to the Bahamas but it was a year after we got married.

That sounds awesome and great! Sometimes it's fun to work with what you have and make it fun and less stressful. I think spending a ton of money on it in general is stressful. Just not worth it 😏 some women just have that "dream" to just have a ridiculously expensive extravagant wedding and that was never me. And I'm cool with that, and lots of our friends are jealous.

Me either. Also, didn't really like the idea of feeling like I was on stage in front of a huge crowd putting on a show which is how big weddings seem to me. I've never liked being the center of attention so a small intimate wedding suited me perfectly.

Precisely! Like just some of this already kinda stressed me out and it's just our families 😫 I couldn't deal with a huge thing. But also I don't think I have enough friends at this point that I'd even care. Most of our friends just aren't as informed as us and they're just meh so we pretty much just enjoy our own company. No one wants to stay as informed as we do lol. So we just send each other Donald links and memes 😂

Congrats.

Darling husband and I got married July 4th, 2019 in my parent's backyard.

To be fair they have a really nice backyard. 😁 A bank of BBQ grills going. Friend's brother had a classic rock cover band,

That sounds awesome!! We are doing the same, but friend's backyard! They actually were a customer who became good friends! They have some nice fake grass so it looks beautiful 24/7 and we stained their deck so that looks great too. And LOTS of shade! Our pastor who we just happened to ask, also got married July 4th too...so that was kinda a sign we needed him!

Catering: watermelon, rotisserie chicken pieces, and beer. Diy cupcakes. You're welcome 😅

Congrats! Weddings are stressful, so hopefully you keep on keeping it low key.

I see you have nothing creative to say. Good for you, enjoy your miserable, meaningless life where you do the same boring shit every day. You probably cheat on your significant other too, or they're cheating on you. Because you're just full of sad, pathetic uselessness. You probably can't even fix your own plumbing, computer, air conditioning, car or phone. You're a waste of space.

Funny you assume I'm poor because I don't want to waste 20k on a wedding. That's just a bad investment. I'm not poor and you couldn't pay me enough to fix anything of yours. You don't deserve help if you're that useless. Why don't you learn a skill instead of blowing money on things you can't fix? Sounds like you're not very smart to begin with. Now I'm sure your spouse cheats on you, because you have nothing good to offer them. And your lack of self esteem is beaming. What's pathetic is I can probably run circles around you in every aspect...and yet here you are being a douche, instead of learning a skill. Do something productive with your time loser.
