I don't acknowledge that court, the judge, or the verdict. This was a blatant, in your face show trial, and the judge wasn't even subtle about it, she blatantly trampled all over the rights of Alex Jones.

The damages award here is just another manifestation of the hate this judge had for Alex, on top of all the other bullshit she pulled in this farce of a show trial.

Watch for an epic rant by both Viva and Robert Barnes.

You know that movie Law Abiding Citizen? I am amazed that more people don't seek to exact satisfaction like that against this farce of a legal system.

No good feelings come from revenge. It just makes the situation worse. People understand that there would be no satisfaction in it. That is why more people don't act that way.

So with this judgment, they are acknowledging Alex Jones runs a legitimate news station of solid repute.

Because parody and "comedic" shows have gotten away with libel/slander under the "I'm a comedy show" umbrella, the "it's not a serious show" fact.

What would the punitive damages be if Alex had shot the kid himself?

About tree fitty.

Ridiculous. I still don't understand how they can prove damages at all. The media tells us that Alex Jones is a crazy person. Crazy people say crazy things.

The man wasn’t even found guilty by jury, the judge delivered a guilty sentence

They determined damages, but the judge unilaterally found him guilty

Surely this will be overturned on appeal.

Taxes caps punitives at 2x actual damages, so the judge is supposed to reduce it to confirm with the law without any need for appeal. The PLAINTIFFs are threatening to appeal, which is just a joke.

The bigger issue is that Alex Jones has multiple other trials like this already lined up and they are all going to try to take a bite out of him.

Appeals lawyers get paid too. They're going to drain him dry with penalties and endless legal fees.

Yep. Fucking lawfare.

No, they'll do some procedural shenanigans so he can't appeal.

He's going to have to sell a lot of supplements

I guess it was mostly a joke but it's true.

The entire trial was less a show trial to scare dissidents but a mockery showing you can't get any justice from blue areas in any state. They denied him all areas he could argue this case and skipped to a default judgement on a technicality.

There needs to be purges in a lot of the judiciary

Alex Jones did nothing wrong. Except apologize and backtrack.

The courts on the other hand did and continue to do wrong, and can get fucked.

So this proves it then. Sandy Hook can't be questioned, therefore it never happened.

Absurd. How much longer are we going to let this clown show of a justice system go on?
