How about not buying farmland, period? Or any land, period.

14
Soulsearcher17 14 points ago +14 / -0

I agree why should we let them buy any land. Come up with a lease agreement if you have to but don't let them own anything.

Wtf_socialismreally 13 points ago +13 / -0

I just don't know what piece of the Constitution allows people from other countries to own land in ours at all.

Legal immigrants sure, I'm right there with them. Rental, sure. But own property?

And honestly, the ruling about the Constitution applying to anyone within our country was the most destructive ruling ever.

p8riot 7 points ago +7 / -0

Nobody owns land anymore in the US. They rent it at the cost of property tax.

-3
sillysausage -3 points ago +1 / -4

We've had widespread property taxes since the 18th century? It does a disservice to yourself to pretend like this is some new thing.

1
p8riot 1 point ago +1 / -0

Ah, the boldness of ignorance. You're off by centuries. Universal property tax failed as late as the 20th century.

https://eh.net/encyclopedia/history-of-property-taxes-in-the-united-states/

Your link shows that property taxes became widespread in the mid 19th century, which I believe I meant, since the country wasn't established in the mid-18th, but it was in the mid-1800s. A foolish mistake on my part, but to be fair, that has always confused me.

Me being one number off aside, property taxes were widespread in the mid-1800s, and they are widespread now, which was the point I was trying to make (and failed, due to my own error).

The duration that we have been stolen from does not negate that we are being stolen from my dude.

0
sillysausage 0 points ago +1 / -1

Yes, and? How did I negate it? I am simply disagreeing with p8riot's assertion that this is new, via their use of the word "anymore". If you don't see the world as it is, you can never hope to effectively change it.

All foreign cpuntries. All non citizens really. No corporations that are not based and headquartered in country also.

My favorite governor. I really hate to see people trying to raise suspicions about him. The deep state hates him. What people do is what shows who they are, and he's been clearing Florida of their agents and schemes.

CoolAsACucumber 4 points ago +9 / -5

He has a lot of political theater but has also done a lot of good.

Personally I think moving illegals to Martha's Vineyard was a pussy move, giving the go ahead for both Democrats AND Republicans to allow more illegals coming in instead of stopping it. Its exactly what I'd expect a RINO to do.

While he gets all the political theater and prestige from this act, more Republicans will copy him to get more publicity thereby allowing more illegals into our states. This is not a move a leader would make and in the long run accelerates the illegal invasion further. Idiot normie will think its a good thing until 10 years later they realize nobody speaks English anymore.

I am always wary of political theater because it stirs your emotions and people don't always think through how the enemy benefits from this. Think about this the next time you see some over the top political theater is going on.

VetforTrump 10 points ago +10 / -0

Moving those people was a strategic move and showed rhe hippocracy and falsity of sanctuary cities. It was brilliant.

2
CoolAsACucumber 2 points ago +4 / -2

Again Democrats do not think like you and me. This will not be the end of it, RINOs now have carte Blanche to move illegals wherever the left needs them all while looking like "real conservatives". The left will chimp out on tv and put the illegals to work in elections, drug dealing, etc.

Its a farce that you're all gonna fall for... Again. For the 815th time.

Normie idiots hate this one trick but fall for it every time... Click here

The Biden administration, as well as past administrations, have been moving them into conservative areas in the dead of night for two decades now. Do you really think they were all staying in the "border towns" ? It's far from political theater, an MSM narrative btw. It is highly appropriate the illegal aliens be moved to sanctuary cities. It is a step towards closing the border: it shows the reality of public sentiment towards illegal alien invasion.

0
CoolAsACucumber 0 points ago +1 / -1

Democrats do not think like Conservatives. This is why they are democrats. They will gladly have and make use of more puppet slaves for their ends. You seem to have it in your mind that when they have to see what you see that they'll magically just stop. No they won't because by their very nature they are insecure prey always threatened by everything, always a bleeding heart for an illegal shitting in the street.

4
Patriot11Retiree 4 points ago +4 / -0

My response is not referring to democrats; my response is referring to the false MSM narrative.

-1
CoolAsACucumber -1 points ago +1 / -2

It's far from political theater, an MSM narrative btw.

Political theater is not an MSM narrative. Political theater is a tactic both on the right and left to rile up the emotions of their voters. Its a tactic as old as civilization.

It is highly appropriate the illegal aliens be moved to sanctuary cities.

It is highly INAPPROPRIATE way to passive aggressively and complacently handle illegal immigrants. It is much more appropriate to EXECUTE THEM.

It is a step towards closing the border

No it is not. It just gives illegal border crossings more attention around the world and more illegals will show up now. It hasn't and won't do shit. What will do something is if you publocly execute these illegal immigrants. That's political theater that would work.

Quit being complacent and passive aggressive about our laws being broken every single fucking day. After the big show and at the end of the day it just allows illigal invaders to continue coming in.

1
Patriot11Retiree 1 point ago +2 / -1

English must not be your first language. Your response is nothing but generic MSM talking points. Bye, Felicia.

-1
CoolAsACucumber -1 points ago +1 / -2

There's nothing MSM about it. Bleeding heart liberals want you to love illegals.

You sound like a glowie who wants to actually have conservatives settle for less.

All traitors will be executed. We will drag them out of their homes just like they did to us. Sleep well.

5
Ground_zero_7777 5 points ago +6 / -1

I'd say it's necessary to see the for the comfy leftoids what illegal immigrants do.

0
CoolAsACucumber 0 points ago +2 / -2

And I think it is a waste of time and a weakness that allows more of these invaders through our borders.

Democrats will not change their mind, they are insecure and deep down think themselves inferior. They will make use of new slaves very easily in an extremely stupid way.

EDIT: And BTW fuck all of you down voting normies. You make this country ABSOLUTE SHIT with your passive aggressive complacency.

5
Wtf_socialismreally 5 points ago +5 / -0

Martha's Vineyard was the one time that made the most sense, though. It exposed a lot of this farce

1
CoolAsACucumber 1 point ago +1 / -0

Until the next time and the act becomes increasingly meaningless as it happens more often. Watch, this won't be the last of it, RINO and low peons will copy it.

3
The_Greeatship_Pilot 3 points ago +3 / -0

I don't have a problem with using political theater to make a point. The normies are trained to consume theater. They are trained to sit and watch and believe what they see, only now the picture is flickering because the MSM no longer has full control of the narrative, and it's precisely because of moves like this.

As for worrying about how the enemy will twist what we do or say, that is a valid concern, but you can't tie your own hands behind your back worrying about how they will respond because it is predictable. You can make pretty accurate projections about what they will do and plan to be 10 steps ahead of them.

DeSantis has a long, very impressive list of actions that drive the left and the RINOs absolutely crazy. It is not reasonable to suspect him of being a secret RINO after he has done so much to restore Florida to sanity, and his political theater is brilliant. Like Trump, he is beating them at their own game.

1
CoolAsACucumber 1 point ago +1 / -0

It was a bad move on his part that can backfire in a big way for his enemies to use and drag him as well.

RINOS can now "act conservative" like DeSantis and move illegals wherever they want. Then instead of the move having any symbolic meaning it becomes vehemently hated.

Watch. This is going to happen. It was a bad chess move that left an opening.

1
The_Greeatship_Pilot 1 point ago +1 / -0

Sorry. Just don't agree.

1
CoolAsACucumber 1 point ago +1 / -0

Thats fine. Keep watching for RINOs doing this exact same stupid thing in all kinds of cities and the media playing it up.

Thank God someone is doing it because before you know it they wll buy the country out from under us. I know people say things like "when push comes to shove it is our land" but be careful because eventually it won't be. I can't even write what I am thinking...

3

You can. I know they are handing over large tracts in CA already.

...the Chinese are buying farmland, while at the same time divesting themselves of urban commercial property initiating a crisis in that area of the economy....

6
DJT4MoreYears 6 points ago +6 / -0

There's enough non-Chinese commies that will just buy it up FOR the CCP. There's really no stopping them buying it in some way..however, what he SHOULD do is legally TAKE AWAY a person's land if they can show proof that it is actually controlled by the CCP or any other Chinese subsidiary.

SallyJ444 5 points ago +5 / -0

I don’t think any foreign person or company should be allowed to buy any land, buildings, houses - any kind of property in America. Definitely not ports. I pray to God once Trump is back in the oval office he will sign an executive order declaring as such, and then ask Congress to make it permanent. Give everyone a one year deadline to sell off their assets (to Americans) and if they don’t, they are seized and auctioned off to Americans.

4
VetforTrump 4 points ago +4 / -0

Can we stop them from even coming here?

3

alright finally

3
WeAreThePlan 3 points ago +3 / -0

This needs to happen in every state. Only U.S. citizens should be able to own land. And this would drastically cut housing costs.

China is capitalist. Explicitly so. They plan to be "socialist with Chinese characteristics" someday, but they are on a slow roadmap towards that, using the Dengian philosophy of "a cat that catches mice is a good cat" - that is, capitalism allows them to generate capital which can be used to alleviate the extreme poverty that has racked the nation for centuries. The idea is some day they will definitely do something about all those billionaires in high rises in Beijing and Shanghai, honest, but in the meantime, capitalism suits them just fine. Capitalism and democracy are not mutually inclusive.

If you don't understand the people or systems you hate, you can never defeat them.

1
1
sillysausage 1 point ago +2 / -1

Of course they are on the road to socialism, that has never been disputed. But the victories for the common people that the article highlights - increased social safety nets, the eradication of abject poverty, welfare - are only possible due to the generation of wealth caused by Deng's capitalist reforms. China is currently capitalist and will continue to use capitalism to secure a better world position until they no longer need it. At that point, they will have a strong socialist infrastructure solidified under decades of state capitalism.

You don't need to own land for capital to be generated and flow. Being forced to rent land puts a cap on things, obviously, but fettered capitalism is not the same as socialism, a mistake I see constantly made on all sides of the political map. Being on the road is not the same as being at a destination.

Also, by posting this article you all but proved that horseshoe theory is just a fucking circle, but that's a discussion for a different day.
