Cognitive dissonance is real and powerful.

Patriot_Perks 29 points ago +29 / -0

Yes, and I've learned through Covid, that some people who are otherwise very normal, secretly love the drama and negativity that goes with a "pandemic".

I swear some of these people are pissed that it's not killing more and that their virtue signaling is losing it's effectiveness.

By all means the maskless should all be dead by now, eh? I’d imagine their disappointment is growing even if they push it down inside and deny its existence.

Plus, by now, with all of the real information coming out about the vaccine itself, I'm guessing they are starting, some of them, to worry about what they did to their body and their future health. I've stopped sending vaccine information. Either they will be scared to death or so pissed off at me I may never see them again.
I'm hoping all the good hats come out with it soon.

LoobintheToobin 1 point ago +1 / -0

I hear that. After they have taken it I don't want to be the reason they experience any more stress. It's on them unless they actually ask for info after that.

I know the video where the girl on tick tock got a cancer screening after covid vaccine letter sure looked like she was experiencing that onset of dread. Those with some ability to think will hopefully come to this understanding while they can still repent and reconcile to God before their consequences consume them.

Oldgal_frdup 2 points ago +2 / -0

Amen to that. They are on my mind all the time. I hope this vaccine does not kill them.

You and me both. sits and drinks quietly with you in contemplative thought and heart felt prayers from the depths of our souls requiring the holy spirit to speak for our words find no purchase in their insufficiency

That's so beautiful!!

Marius 7 points ago +7 / -0

Yeah I have noticed that these morons get that excited look right before they use the word pandemic. They love using that word as often as possible. It is like it relieves their stress and they get a good shot of endorphins at every mention. They are addicted to it. They also feel that it legitimizes every ignorant thing they do. I wonder if these people can ever step back into reality.

Like projection. Am I the only one that thought both were exaggerated conditions in Psych 101?

It's why I no longer bother. I simply say don't worry man, you'll see it eventually whether you want to or not.

Patriot_Perks 9 points ago +9 / -0

Yeah, I'm over trying to redpill people. I drop the occasionally snide comment, to plant seeds of doubt, but other than that, you're on your own.

7
Rammstein1 7 points ago +7 / -0

Well said. That’s what I’m going to do from now on. One warning and then they are on their own.

Side Note — I’m medical and eat lunch with a DDS and an MD once in a while. We have OFTEN discussed the problems and criminality of Big Pharma. What do they do ?? They take the mRNA script “vaccine” like the programmed sheep that they are. So it’s not about IQ frens.

I expected more from the Fauci emails but what I got was:

ME: Did you see the Fauci emails?

THEM: YES! I can't believe Trump would want these released! It shows how Trump pressured Fauci, who was just trying his best to be super helpful to everyone to the point of exhaustion, into saying where he thought Covid-19 came from, when he didn't know!

ME: So you didn't see that he knew it was from wuhan, funded gain of function research, ignored early doctors giving him working treatments, and actively spun disinformation regarding the whole thing?

THEM: I'm just not seeing that. This CNN article and this other Yahoo article only talked about the most important 5 emails. I don't have time to sift through all 3000+, that's crazy! Wow, that Fauci, what a great guy trying to help all those people. Trump is crazy to want these emails released!

At this point I'm pulling up a lawn chair and cooler to watch the building burn down. Its compassionate to help someone who is deserving, it's ignorant to help someone who is not.

Hahahah, “trustworthy” source says here is all you need to see....

I don’t have time to care about figuring out what really happened, geez.

Wow. They can spin distract with anything. Don’t look at this huge series of truths... look, a cute bunny

Grip it tightly lest it go down the rabbit hole. More tightly rabbit squeals that’s better

Nailed it...

8
Qst10nEth1ng 8 points ago +8 / -0

Ain't that the damned truth. I told my inlaws how it absolutely blows my mind that they would blindly believe talking heads on TV whom they've never met before over myself, someone who knows, loves, and actually cares for them. The whole time just asking for them to look at research... crickets, plugs back into mainstream media. The spells coming through those "channels" are strong Frens, but our love of country, family, Frens, & constitution has to be stronger. It sounds lame, but loving them through the delusion while maintaining unwavering truth is really the only way to break the spells.

That breaks muh fuggin' heart, vaxxing children with an experimental vaccine is criminal. I just can't wrap my head around the thinking, it is scary how much power the msm has over people.

Most people are basically lobotomized at this point. Dont worry about the cattle, they will never wake up. The best we can do is get our hands on the cattle prods.

I think of it like asking someone if they’ve accepted Jesus. Some will be open to talking and thinking logically about it, and be open to the possibility of changing their beliefs. There are more like this out there than you think, they’re mostly apolitical, don’t really follow news/politics, and are usually smart but busy people.

Others are adamant in their positions, do not want to change, and if they bother to engage at all are really just trying to convert you to their side. People like these are not worth the time and are best avoided. Despite what you would think, they’re often above-average intelligence, and they have an easier time doing the mental gymnastics required to avoid cognitive dissonance than the average person (who often just “goes along” with whoever is around them in moment to avoid the effort of thinking too hard).

How to tell the difference between the two without investing more time and effort than it’s worth is the real challenge we face, IMO.

Sheeeeit, more like not only do they see the flames but they’re also on fire ?. It’s a thankless job ain’t it? But well worth it in spades. Cheers frens!

I've been intrigued for a long time that people are so brain-fogged about everything COVID and found an excellent Catherine Austin Fitts interview on mass mind control via the media. Cognitive dissonance doesn't even explain the lemming-like rush to be vaccinated---it's probably more like brain entrainment.

This is how mankind is wired. Once we accept something as a foundational belief, it takes a lot to change it. This enables us to operate in daily life, as we don't have to reassess our entire worldview every time we're exposed to new information. If new information seems inconsistent with our foundational beliefs, we just do some mental rearranging to make it fit, until that's no longer possible. In the meantime, it's much easier to keep rearranging the furniture than it is to rip up the house by its foundation.

3
AmberWins 3 points ago +3 / -0

Best analogy I've seen!

3
Oldgal_frdup 3 points ago +3 / -0

That's a great way to put it. The more I show some of my family member the truth, the more they stay away from me.

3
FreedomFan1975 3 points ago +3 / -0

Wow that's a hell of an analogy.
