For the love of God, stop shilling for Epic.

I don't think he's shilling. I think I posts any time there's a free game on any platform. Epic does it on a regular basis, hence him posting their stuff more often. He's posted Steam and GOG freebies before. I don't think he has an allegiance to any of them.

I post all the free games I see that don't look bad from the screenshots.

EGS has at least one free game every week, I don't post it every week.

As far as this particular game goes, I already pirated it when it was an EGS exclusive because I don't use EGS launcher, I only claim the games. I bought it as a Steam key on Humble Bundle a few weeks ago to replay at some point.

Seriously. Pirate the damn thing if you want it for free, better than shilling for china.

It's a free AAA game. Unreal Engine is incredible and worth supporting.

Tough titties.

It's also marked down to $16 bucks on GOG at the time of this posting (if it's part of the summer sale, it'll be discounted until the 28th of this month). Decent game for that price that proves you can put a female lead in your game and not be a buncha woke mess.

Actually pretty good so far

Not (overtly) woke, fun gameplay. It plays like a star wars jedi game but without lightsabers. Just force powers and guns

I loved Control, can't recall any wokeness. Jesse's a girl, Emily Pope is a girl, and Marshall is a girl... huh, and the Mold Scientist is a girl too... But the dude in charge of the Panopticon is a dude. But that can just be coincidental. Dr. Darling's a guy, after all, as is Director Trench.

But there's no, like, prominence of Being Female, just because many of the main characters happen to be. No rainbow flags or dildos in desks or anything.

What I loved most about it is how it seems to have revitalized what was at the time called the Alan Wake universe, but is NOW called the Remedy Connected Universe. Because Alan Wake was a game that really spoke to me; the story of a man beating a troubled past on a quest to save his wife from an unknowable enemy by rewriting reality.

Part of me has the irrational hope that we'll one day get a Co-Op game where one player plays as Jesse, with the Service Weapon and her Parautilitarian abilities giving her greater movement and combat options, and the other plays as Alan with his flashlight and shotgun and flare gun, and some device to type on where he can alter the space around him by rewriting it, and together you'd have to solve puzzles and defeat crazy-ass enemies that only by combining both of their unique skillsets would you ever have a hope to best...

Max Payne as director trench was pretty cool too

A nice looking but boring game imo

Ew. Female lead.

Even as an Epic fan, hard pass.
