BUT MUH FAMILIEZ!!

yeah, i hate that too

some people match with their parents, others dont

it's random, but the idiots among the lucky kids think "this is normal" and "everyone is just like me"

same with calendar astrology. 25% of all people (by accident) have the right basetype (four elements), and the idiots among the lucky ones think "this must be valid for all people" (so lets spread the word with fists and bombs)

3
elodrian 3 points ago +3 / -0

the idiots among the lucky kids

Is it luck? I think humans are very tribal and if you're conservative your parents are probably conservative and vice versa. Now, "conservative" in boomerspeak is very different than where GenXers and Millennials find themselves, but that's a difference of scale, not of kind.

1
InfidelCastro11 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yeah, who your parents are and your genetics are down to luck

1
milahu 1 point ago +1 / -0

if you're conservative your parents are probably conservative and vice versa

no. that's the whole point of the devilchild / blacksheep / misfit problem

but the actual problem is holding on to wrong kids, instead of giving them away to matching parents

see also https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cultural_variations_in_adoption

weebduke 0 points ago +2 / -2

Nobody matches their parents, you just create a culture that best tries to create stable relationships. Sure, like Asians, it might become unbalanced and completely deny individual needs over time, but like whites, it can become overly individualistic and leave people alone and suicidal.

There is no eternal solution; a culture is stable for a bit before becoming unstable and in need of an evolution to balance things out once more.

Whites are too invested into become solipsistic aspies that despise anybody not themselves.

2
Maskurbator 2 points ago +2 / -0

Thank you. I've been saying this for fifteen years now and you're the only other person who's said this aloud much less acknowledged it.

Whites are so hell bent on individualism they become atomized. This in turn prevents them from working as a collective for their own common good. Whites are the ONLY group that behaves in this manner to any great extend, and they wonder why things don't go their way. Kids turn 18 and they can't leave fast enough. The family will be lucky if they can get everyone under one roof for Christmas or Thanksgiving once every 10 years because me, me, me, mine, mine, mine. Family is viewed as a drag and no one would piss on fire to put you out. Meanwhile Hispanics will load up their 6 kids, aunt, sister into the minivan and drive 900 miles for a quincinera.

1
milahu 1 point ago +1 / -0

Nobody matches their parents

that's the extreme "liberal" position

https://www.reddit.com/r/science/comments/dbynle/liberals_relative_to_conservatives_express/

you just create a culture that best tries to create stable relationships

at least for the ingroup. for the outgroup, you do the exact opposite = slave morality

I don't discuss politics with my dad. He's ... not in my political ven-diagram.

8
KyleIsThisTall 8 points ago +8 / -0

No one ever talks about Euler diagrams.

And it's Venn.

14
Oitthegroit 14 points ago +15 / -1

Do you have a Venn-detta against such diagrams?

3
Maskurbator 3 points ago +3 / -0

Aaanndddd I just spent twenty minutes learning about Euler diagrams and looking at examples online.

Aspire to be more based than your fathers. Break the cycle.

My grandson will be more based than a farmer from the 1850s, BC that is.

4
BLMadeMeRaysis 4 points ago +4 / -0

Arete.

2
Rahz 2 points ago +2 / -0

Forgive your father and mother. Not because you as their son can give them, but to bring you peace of mind.

-2
MURDERER -2 points ago +2 / -4

I literally dont give a shit about them. Fuck em.

4
Rahz 4 points ago +4 / -0

You should, for the best and the worst. No one goes anywhere without acknowledging and preserving their past, both their conquests and failures.

-2
MURDERER -2 points ago +2 / -4

nah

22
NoticerOfThings 22 points ago +23 / -1

I send letters to my family and extended family on a weekly basis. I never expect gratitude. Imagine finding basic decency and keeping contact with your family as a "new discovery" worthy of mention

Good God, our men need help.

13
RefriedGringo 13 points ago +13 / -0

I text my brother and say “xello fabbot” does that count?

A little verbal rough housing, when you can’t do it IRL.

5
deleted 5 points ago +5 / -0
8
NoticerOfThings 8 points ago +8 / -0

It's good to stay in contact in any way. Silly as it sounds, receiving a physical letter that was touched and written on by your loved one is so much more heartwarming and special.

It's like going through the thousands of letters my great grandparents and great aunts/uncles and etc wrote to each other. You can see their handwriting and their doodles and can see their emotion in their writing sometimes.

You can write, receive, and save these messages to pass down to your descendants. It's one way to "love forever", whereas a text message disappears into the void.

2
RefriedGringo 2 points ago +2 / -0

I agree

1
Side-o-Beef_Curtains 1 point ago +1 / -0

That was kind of the point. Op was depressed and alcoholic because nobody taught him basic decency. Our young men need lots of help. The worst part of boomers was their parenting.

21
BlueDrache 21 points ago +21 / -0

For about six months, I wrote to my Dad once a week. He called me and made sure to mention how much it meant to him.

12
Herbert_C_Consoomer 12 points ago +12 / -0

That's not kindness that's just basic decency. Don't forget about your parents, conbros!

My hemorrhoids finally popped this morning and now my butt doesn't itch.

Good start to the day.

12
TheWestYearZero 12 points ago +12 / -0

If you are getting piles, you are eating poorly, and what you are getting on your tail is being repeated all through your intestines. Your intestinal lining is punctured and inflammed all over and itis porous to stuff it should not be porous to.

You have to start eating low carb and anti-inflammatory.

If you also have chronic indigestion, a common pal of piles, start a course of Betaine HCl.

It is piles today, and that is bad enough, but it may be chronic fatigue syndrome or even colon cancer and a colostomy bag down the track.

Whisky and mountain bikes.

4
Oitthegroit 4 points ago +4 / -0

How do hemorrhoids pop? I'm grossed out, but equally curious.

4
KyleIsThisTall 4 points ago +4 / -0

Everyone. Has hemmoroids - they are a group of blood vessels in the anus that engorge to facikitate defication. Some people have inflamed hemmoroids. Sometimes the blood vessels get so inflamed they burts. They are near the surface of the skin so it just bursts through the skin as well. I just had to wipe up blood. But I'm much more comfortable now than the past week.

Ice used a bucket as a foot stool since i was a kid.

2
RefriedGringo 2 points ago +2 / -0

Dude that’s not good

3
NataliePortmanteau 3 points ago +4 / -1

You must be young.

Hemorrhoids are pretty common, especially as you get older. As you age you'll become more susceptible to hemorrhoid bursts if you strain while you poop, and of course pregnant women get hemorrhoids easy.

Once you have them once, you'll see it's not fun but it's not a sign that you're dying -- it's a sign your hemorrhoids have burst due to strain. It'll be uncomfortable for a few days but you'll live, trust me.

6
RefriedGringo 6 points ago +7 / -1

No I’m almost 50 and bleeding hemorrhoids are NOT GOOD. The other person who replied to his comment talking about bowel inflammation was right.

3
Blursed2021 3 points ago +3 / -0

Uh yeah you young fuck, us 90 year olds know all about hemorrhoids.

1
NataliePortmanteau 1 point ago +1 / -0

Ok Boomer.

A least I’m not bleeding out of my asshole LOL 😂

2
Soperp 2 points ago +3 / -1

when i first got one i thought it was a butthole cancer tumor lol

2
Oitthegroit 2 points ago +2 / -0

Baaaah that sounds awful 😖 I'm glad you're okay though.

2
KyleIsThisTall 2 points ago +2 / -0

It's an inflamed blood vessel just below the skin on the anus which gets a lot of contact and rubbing and you sit on it and so on.

Wouldn't it be funny to start sending postcards that everyone who handles it can read and the message says: JEWS DID 911

1
RefriedGringo 1 point ago +1 / -0

The mail address reading machine will become sentient

3
happybillmoney 3 points ago +3 / -0

Unironically, people appreciate being sent postcards.

Try it. I send post cards to friends and family. It’s weird at first because you think you could just text them. But something about being physically sent something makes it mean more.

Also you can make anything into a post card. One year I cut up random boxes into post cards. Then like a school used paint markers to decorate them. On the cardboard side wrote quotes or jokes ended it with a “Thank your X for being my friend. -Happy”

It was neat getting a text messages pop up days later thanking me for the cool postcard.

To my surprise every now it gets brought up like ”only post card I was ever sent I still have“, “coolest post card I’ve ever seen”. And it’s a nice feeling getting a postcard sent back. Not to many do it since like anon says who knows how to fill out a post card in current year.

Also totally worth it to send people mail on holidays even if it’s not a gift or money.

2
Honeypot02 2 points ago +2 / -0

but if he doesn’t drink how will he get more postcards?

Went back to poojeetistan for a couple weeks, went to dads village that I haven't been to 20 years. Literally horde of close and distant relatives crying and coming too see us ask us how things have been. Get treated like prince from poojeetistan hospitality. Half the prayer-hall now filled with 80-70 year olds that still recognize my father despite not having been there for two decades, shit the village is oddly spread apart but pretty much everyone knows who everyone is.

Find out who my great-great-great grandfather was and realize how far and spread out by bloodline is that little part of the country. Everyone is crying when we leave after being there for five days. It was hot and shitty, the poojeet relatives there are poor, but they aren't depressed, they have their God, their families, and their little farmlands and investments. It's a place you belong for real, and with real connections that go down to your blood. Dad decided to throw a feast for the little village on the night before we leave.

Genuinely feel depressed when I return to Canada. Look at angsty whitekids with shattered families and estranged parents, and see what they've come to miss when their boomer foredads decided to leave the country side for muh-money and muh-status. Come to back to my suburban house and feel lonelier than ever. For the first time I see suburban "communities" as the biggest lies sold to whites, you're in a community the size of a village but nobody knows each other beyond their property limits.

Y'all need to band together.

1
guccibear 1 point ago +1 / -0

what's the deal with you poos going to Canada is it much easier for you guys? Every Indian i spoke to is thinking of moving to Canada.

-1
weebduke -1 points ago +1 / -2

Canada needs submissive and politically compliant poojeets to flood Canuckistan to create a more manipulable voter base.

Usually will have actual immigrants (that hopped through all the loops) living there and will have India issue student permits who'll come here to study and eventually get a work permit. Some will fuck off to India, some will hop through a new set of loops and stay (and some do).

That's why Canada is so popular.

When I graduated undergrad my grandparents met a member of a project group and talked to him for a couple minutes. He was a good guy, barely knew him, had one class with him but my grandparents talked about what a nice friend he was FOR YEARS. They spoke about him until they were too sick to speak.

I have no idea what the fuck that guy said but it made them happy as hell.
