I owned a Commodore 64 when I was 10 years old. I didn't have many games, so I taught myself to make games using BASIC. Then I found a book in my local library and used it to teach myself Assembly Language and gain an appreciation for electrical engineering.
By age 12 I was writing vector raster hardware interrupts to manipulate the C64 architecture in time with the electron beam of a standard television screen, to give the appearance of perfectly smooth scrolling and more colors and Sprites than the C64 hardware was designed to handle.
I wish I had someone to talk to about this when I was little because it was fun and nobody understood anything when I tried to explain what I was doing. Many years later, my friend was doing an Electrical Engineering degree at Uni and I could follow much of what he was doing up until the second year.
This is kind of a modest Nintendo collection. Looks like a 12 to 15 year slice of video game history. I too was a casual game enjoyer. Back in the day.
This isn’t a bad size for 12 to 15 years of gaming. I’ve seen worse. My brother has 4 or 5 DS’s, a wii and wii-u, a switch, an xbox 360, an xbox one, an xbox series x and s, and a dedicated gaming tower. This was over 7 or 8 years.
They're fun spaced out in small doses. I can fire up a session of Civilization 5 whenever I feel burned out from my daily routine, and it helps declutter the mind.
Some people really enjoy it. I play only an hour a day maybe two or three on weekends when I have nothing else to do. Some people, like my brother made friends online and like to play games with them everyday. I never really got it but it’s nice that he’s happy.
I don't have much of an interest in the games that have come out in the past year. The only game I I'm excited for right now is the new Serious Sam game.
Likely not but that isn’t the basis of a man’s worth. Character, hobbies, skills, what he has built. A hedonist who engages in promiscuous behavior and casual sex is in no way better than a young man, saving himself for marriage who has faith, morals, and skills.
This man is a loser. Engaging in promiscuity would not change that.
Yeah! So what I play a certain company’s guitars more than most others. So what some people like to play games more than sports. The great part of humans is that we are all unique.
Yah I don’t know. The picture is lame but I don’t like to pretend every gamer is an addicted fag. I do far more “reading” than I’ve ever done in my life by listening to audiobooks while I play a game. If I wasn’t play a game at the time I’d probably get bored and put on some Netflix trash. In that way it’s kinda productive. There are worse timesinks
I noped out of gaming about 5 years ago. I used to be a huge Nintendo fan and the Switch is the only Nintendo system I never owned (besides Virtual Boy and pre-NES systems like Game and Watch). The last game I got was Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for Wii U. I never even beat it though it was a fantastic game. I just can't do it anymore - it's like I grew out of it. The same year I stopped gaming was the same year I came to God. Go figure.
I'm glad I don't know what any of this is.

We still don't but we do appreciate your autism.
u/#check Aktually,

Don't you get sick of video games eventually? I barely play any anymore. They just all kind of feel the same now.

I still can't get over the art direction in Civ 6. It looks like a dogshit mobile/faceberg game.

i only play the games i grew up with... snes, n64 and windows 98.. when im feeling nostalgic . new games are formulaic and poorly developed.
I don't have much of an interest in the games that have come out in the past year. The only game I I'm excited for right now is the new Serious Sam game.
Dude I remember playing the original Serious Sam with my buddies when it first came out. Fun game
I can’t do it morally, I’ll start playing and I this feeling of guilt about how I should be spending my time.
Has he felt a boob yet? u/#doge
he actually did got laid but the girl tried to manupilate him... he was pretty rich
Is he super productive besides the video game obsession?
not really
Womp womp. u/#doge
I cannot play video games. It would make me a lazy detached slug.

That's only a single console per generation, hardly full blown consoomer status.
This, some people take this stuff so far and think that you are not allowed to enjoy anything at all.
Yeah! So what I play a certain company’s guitars more than most others. So what some people like to play games more than sports. The great part of humans is that we are all unique.
Eh, other than the OLED switch, which even many nintendrones weren't a big fan of, I can say this isn't too awful of a consumerist collection.

Good lord he bought the OLED switch too. That’s the biggest non-upgrade out there.

The TLoZ series has actually had a pretty Christian influence, you got bored because you just got to the main source of inspiration.
Yep, you might be right. I found the real deal. Instead of triforce father, son and holy spirit.
I can proudly claim that my collection holds none of those. In fact it holds nothing at all
That's... That's not really something to be proud of. Unless you just specifically own no specialized gooming consoles.
