No idea, it's not even clear if dude is handcuffed / under arrest at all. This is so vague there's nothing really to dig into.

Doesn't look like the ambassador to Italy though https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lewis_Eisenberg

False. https://secretserviceassignment.weebly.com/structure-and-organization.html Edit: NOTE WHERE IS STATES DEVICE FRAUD. Structure/Organization The Secret Service has jurisdiction over issues involving counterfeit money and securities. This organization has authority wherever the counterfeiting of money is taking place. It also protects the president, vice president, and their family. The Secret Service also has jurisdiction over various financial problems/crimes. They protect American industries and citizens from financial fraud. Secret Service also has primary jurisdiction to access device fraud. They are authorized to protect the president/vice president, foreign leaders, and other people related to the president. Ultimately, the Secret Service have jurisdiction over the entirety of the United States (meaning that they are federal), but they only have authority in finding certain federal crimes and protecting the President and Vice President wherever they go. There structure, however, is more complicated. This is because the Secret Service operate in different areas throughout the United States, preventing mostly insurance fraud and identity theft.

So?

2
PutinLovesCats 2 points ago +3 / -1

You said they have no Jurisdiction, which is false. They don't have the same Jurisdiction there as they do here, but, Jurisdiction none-the-less.

-7
SmokeAndMirrors -7 points ago +2 / -9

no they do not.

only Italian authorities have jurisdiction in Italy.

do you not know what the word means?

2
PutinLovesCats 2 points ago +3 / -1

no they do not.

They do, under joint operations with INTERPOL and the Country's authorities.

do you not know what the word means?

Yes, I do. You seem to not understand what it means, though.

"This organization has authority wherever the counterfeiting of money is taking place. It also protects the president, vice president, and their family." "protecting the President and Vice President wherever they go. " It States later that they are also responsible for investigation of fraud and not only counterfeiting. I'm just trying state there are potential loop holes and gray area advantages, as in all things but this I would like to be used for good, for once.

Let me repeat it:

SS has no jurisdiction in Italy. They cannot just arrest people there. The very idea is totally retarded. Italy is a sovereign nation.

Embassies are typically considered sovereign soil of the country they represent.. ambassadors also serve under the directive of the executive... it shouldn’t be hard for the US to arrest a US citizen/ambassador in one of its own embassies using law enforcement that is already granted access to that embassy.

The picture looks like it could be photoshopped though..

now imagine they arrest someone in an embassy. then what?
