I thought this was a woman in some foreign country. Actually a 17 year old girl in Bradbury, CA (outside of LA in hills, by Angeles Nat'l. Forest). Her parents in background are screaming at her. It's a black bear (sometimes they are brown tho). Alleged no bear or human was injured. https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=where+was+woman+who+fought+off+mother+bear+protecting+her+dogs%3f&docid=13925040360813&mid=4361397E47548BB8B25A4361397E47548BB8B25A&view=detail&FORM=VIRE

Although I suspect a mama bear probably spent a good for weeks nursing her wounded dignity after that tumble... lol.

True, but I really hope she wasn't injured. She wasn't actually that aggressive, considering all the "mother bear defending her cubs" warnings and scenarios we hear abt. I am such a sucker when it comes to animals. The thought of her being hurt bothers me more than a human.

It's easy to have contempt for our own species these days... Something we all gotta work on, myself included.

Not so much contempt, it's just that animals are so innocent, it just hurts my heart to see one get hurt when it clearly has no clue, was just minding it's own business. And that can apply to most animals in just about any situation, but esp. when some human comes along, just being a jerk many times. Not this one particularly, she was trying to protect her animals. I just usually feel more concern towards animals, and I think I prob need my compassion level (at least) checked, but it's true. (Unless it's a Great White shark).
